Erosion control apparatus
11492771 · 2022-11-08 · ·

The present invention relates to an erosion control apparatus and methods of using and installing the apparatus. The apparatus is constructed to prevent erosion of soil during typical weather or tidal conditions and adverse weather events. The apparatus can include a plurality of anchored rolls and soil lifts operative to stabilize the shoreline.

Multi-stage control negative Poisson self-expanding anchor apparatus

The present disclosure is related to a multi-stage control negative Poisson self-expanding anchor apparatus. The apparatus is constructed to solve the problem of poor effect or even failure of anchor bolts owing to insufficient force area of the bolt and easy damage of the locking section under the action of large tension in the existing technology. The anchorage section mainly comprises a plurality of circular platform bodies spaced with larger outward and smaller inward along the axial direction. The axial inner segment of the round platform body is coaxial connected with the force resistant body, and the axial outer segment of the round platform body is opened with an axial inward through the hole of the force resistant body. The axial inner part of the force resistant body is fixed on the anchorage segment.

Silt Fence Configured for Capturing Pollutants and Fabric Forming the Same

A composite silt fence configured for capturing pollutants in one embodiment comprises a silt fence fabric including i) a polymeric geotextile fabric particulate filtering layer defining the hydraulic flow capacity for the silt fence, ii) a pollutant capturing layer coupled to the polymeric geotextile fabric particulate filtering layer and configured to capture some select pollutants in water from flow that has passed through the polymeric geotextile fabric particulate filtering layer, and iii) a backing layer coupled to the pollutant capturing layer; and a plurality of stakes secured to the silt fence fabric at spaced locations. The silt fence fabric yields higher hydraulic flow than existing fence constructions with greater sediment retention and pollutant containment features.

PREFABRICATED VERTICAL GEOTEXILE DITCH CHECK SYSTEM
20230035252 · 2023-02-02 ·

A ditch check system and methods for storm water control are provided. The ditch check system can include a velocity-restricting component of non-woven geotextile fabric with one or more porosities configured to control the velocities of storm water flows for sediment control and silt retention. The velocity-restricting component can have one or more reinforcing elements to provide additional support to protect against tearing and/or undue movement of the fabric, as well as provide attachment points for fasteners used to fasten the fabric to support members. The ditch check system can further include a front water seal and a rear scour guard attached to the velocity-restricting component at ground level which are substantially impermeable to vertical water flow to inhibit ditch scouring and prevent the flow of storm water under the ditch check system. To facilitate transportation, installation, and assembly, one or more of the components of the ditch check system can be supplied as a pre-assembled package.

THREE-DIMENSIONAL COMPOSITE FABRIC

The present invention is directed to a three-dimensional composite fabric including a three-dimensional woven fabric, and a nonwoven fabric arranged on a first, on a second side, or on both sides of the three-dimensional woven fabric, wherein the composite fabric retains at least 15% thickness at a compression of about 200 pounds per square foot (psf) to about 1000 pounds per square foot. Further, the present invention is directed to a method of making a three-dimensional composite fabric and a method of installing the three-dimensional composite fabric in a landfill.

GEOGRID MADE FROM A COEXTRUDED MULTILAYERED POLYMER

An integral geogrid includes a plurality of interconnected, oriented strands having an array of openings therein that is produced from a coextruded multilayer polymer sheet starting material. By virtue of the construction, the coextruded multilayer sheet components provide a crystalline synergistic effect during extrusion and orientation of the integral geogrid, resulting in enhanced material properties that provide performance benefits to use of the integral geogrid in soil geosynthetic reinforcement.
