Calibrationless operation method

A method that includes obtaining a sensor reading from a sensor installed inside an underground vault and determining whether the sensor reading is indicative of an alarm state. When the sensor reading is indicative of the alarm state, the method obtains at least one new reading and determines whether the sensor reading includes sensor drift based at least in part on the at least one new reading. The alarm state is established when the sensor reading is determined not to include sensor drift. The sensor drift is removed when the sensor reading is determined to include sensor drift.

Systems and methods for rehabilitating, repairing, and replacing manholes and connected sewer lines

The present invention is a method for rehabilitating, repairing, and replacing manholes and connected sewer lines. In some embodiments, a compressed liner is inserted through the manhole access hole or the connected sewer lines. Prior to insertion, the liner may be cut and/or folded to be compressed to a size that can fit through the manhole opening or the sewer lines. Once inserted in the manhole or sewer lines, the liner should be expanded, and if necessary, bonded together with a resin along the separation line. Next, a bonding material may be injected between the liner and a surface of the manhole or sewer line to seal any cracks or fissures in the brick or concrete wall and to seal the liner against the existing manhole or sewer line to improve structural integrity and longevity. A new corbel may then be installed and bonded to the liner.

HUMIDITY ADJUSTING DEVICE AND HUMIDITY ADJUSTING METHOD

A humidity adjustment device (10) according to the present disclosure includes a control unit (11) that acquires humidity information indicating humidity of a space part of a manhole and controls the humidity on the basis of the humidity information.

Floating foundation

A lift system and method for supporting a structure. The lift system includes a first buoyant sponson tank comprising a sponson tank that extends from a first end to a second end, a mechanical assembly extending from the second end of the sponson tank, the mechanical assembly to transfer a load of a structure disposed on the mechanical assembly to the sponson tank. The sponson tank is configured to be displaced by a volume of fluid that is external to the tank and the tank provides a predetermined buoyant force against the structure to cause the structure to be displaced vertically.

A device has two anchor sleeves (3) in a concrete wall (2) accommodating two parallel anchor bolts (6) of a U-shaped step iron (1) form-fittingly. Between coupling parts formed by the anchor sleeves (3) and the anchor bolts (6), a detent assembly (7) has at least one detent tongue (8) sprung in the radial direction on one of the coupling parts (3, 6) and a detent recess (9) that receives the detent tongue (8) on the other coupling part (6, 3). A guide surface (15) for the detent tongue (8) is inclined in the peripheral direction and extends in the radial direction over the engagement depth of the detent tongue (8) adjoining the detent recess (9) at least in a peripheral direction.

Integrated access box

An integrated access box for providing surface access to a curb box or other structure, and tracer wires in a single unit. The integrated access box generally includes a body having a first end and a second end and a first chamber (e.g., a curb box chamber or cleanout chamber) extending into the first end toward the second end of the body. The body may be substantially cylindrical in shape, and may include a first opening near the first end of the body and a first chamber access opening in the first chamber near the top of the body, and a tracer wire chamber extending into the body. The tracer wire chamber includes a second opening near the first end of the body. The integrated access box may further include a tracer wire access opening in the tracer wire chamber near the top of the body.

Method of rehabilitating a manhole
11808003 · 2023-11-07 · ·

The method of repairing a manhole begins with assembling concrete forms above ground to correspond to the shape of the manhole wall. Then, a plastic liner sheet is wrapped around the assembled forms and the seams are welded. The forming sections are then removed, and the liner is placed in the manhole. An annular space exists between the liner and the manhole wall. The forming sections are re-assembled inside the liner. Concrete is then poured into the annular space and allowed to cure. The forming sections are removed, leaving the liner anchored in a new monolithic concrete wall fully engaging the old manhole wall.
