A method for delivering water through a fire hydrant is disclosed and includes unlocking a sprinkler cap control lock on the fire hydrant, removing the sprinkler cap control lock to access an operating nut of the fire hydrant and activating the operating nut to deliver water through a plurality of sprinkler ports in at least one of a plurality of caps on the fire hydrant. Also disclosed are fire hydrant with a lubricant channel and a method of lubricating a fire hydrant operation nut. Also disclosed is a fire hydrant that does not need a lubricant disposed between the operation nut and the fire hydrant body due to an operating nut sleeve being disposed between the operation nut and the fire hydrant body.

The disclosure teaches an adjustable/extendable piping system/module for associating fluid access products (such as fire hydrants) to a buried fluid source. The piping system defines an adjustable configuration that allows for the overall length of the piping system to be modified to compensate for different bury depths. The disclosure further teaches a flex module configured for associating a fluid product with a piping system connected to a fluid source. The flex module is configured to flex a predefined amount to prevent damage to the system from low energy impacts.

METHOD FOR INSTALLING A SENSOR CONDUIT SUPPORT IN AN INTERNAL STRUCTURE

A method for installing a sensor assembly in a fire hydrant includes sequentially feeding components of the sensor assembly through an aperture in an upper standpipe of the fire hydrant. The components of the sensor assembly include a sensor unit, a conduit coupled with the sensor unit and extending away therefrom, and a series of rigid tubes surrounding the conduit and arranged in an end-to-end manner. The conduit is fed through the aperture along with the series of rigid tubes, and at least one of the series of rigid tubes has a length greater than a diameter of an interior of the fire hydrant.

A coupling mechanism can be used to selectively secure two sections of telescopically engaged pipe in a fixed position relative to each other and provide a fluid (e.g., gas and/or liquid) seal between the coupling mechanism and the two pipes, regardless of whether the pipes are secured in the fixed position or are freely moveable relative to each other. The coupling mechanism can be used as part of a faucet assembly, which can include an adjustable faucet assembly including the telescopically engaged pipe.

Hydrant nozzle cap adapter

A nozzle cap adapter includes an adapter ring defining a first adapter ring end, a second adapter ring end opposite the first adapter ring end, and an interior void extending from the first adapter ring end to the second adapter ring end; a nozzle connector extending from the second adapter ring end of the adapter ring, the nozzle connector configured to rotatably engage a fire hydrant nozzle; and a latch coupled to the adapter ring and configured to removably lock the nozzle cap adapter onto the fire hydrant nozzle; a gasket housing extending into the interior void and defining a gasket groove, the gasket groove facing the second adapter ring end; and a gasket disposed within the gasket groove and configured to abut an end of the fire hydrant nozzle.
