A method for attaching a relay module to a fire hydrant comprises positioning the relay module adjacent to the fire hydrant, the fire hydrant comprising a hydrant body and a bonnet coupled to the hydrant body by a plurality of fasteners, the bonnet mounted on top of the hydrant body, the relay module comprising a radio housing defining a top surface, a mast connected to the radio housing and extending upwards from the top surface, and a mounting bracket attached to the top surface, the mounting bracket engageable with the hydrant body; and securing the relay module to the fire hydrant such that the mounting bracket and a portion of the top surface is positioned beneath the bonnet.

Hydrant Device with Vacuum Breaking Function
20180112377 · 2018-04-26 ·

A hydrant device includes a faucet body, a rotation shaft, an upper rotation cap, a check valve, a switch valve, a lower fixed cap, and a water intake seat. The faucet body is provided with a rotary knob connected with the rotation shaft which is connected with the upper rotation cap. A first elastic member is biased between the rotation shaft and the upper rotation cap. A second elastic member is biased between the upper rotation cap and the check valve. The check valve is provided with a stop face. The switch valve is combined with the upper rotation cap. The water intake seat is mounted on the faucet body. Thus, the stop face forms an anti-reverse state to seal the switch valve, thereby preventing water from being gathered in the switch valve.

Ways of monitoring the temperature of a hose bibb are provided. A system includes a temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of the hose bibb, a communication module for transmitting signals to a network, and a controller in electronic communication with the temperature sensor and the communication module. The controller is configured to a signal representative of the temperature of the hose bibb from the temperature sensor and is further configured to activate the communication module to transmit the signal to the network when the hose bibb temperature falls below a predetermined threshold. The system may also include a heating module configured to be activated by the controller to heat the hose bibb upon the temperature falling below the first predetermined temperature. The system provides real-time monitoring and alerts for militating against freezing conditions of the hose bibb, enhancing the efficiency and safety of hose bibb operations.

Method for operating a valve and an operating key system

Various aspects of a wall faucet assembly are discussed herein, including an inner assembly that is configured to removably connect to an outer assembly. When connected, a water line connected to the outer assembly passes from the outer assembly to the inner assembly when the inner assembly is manipulated to an operative position. The inner assembly may not require a handle or key for operation and further provides a vacuum breaker to prevent a backflow with an umbrella valve.
