UNDERGROUND STORAGE SYSTEM WITH V SHAPED SUPPORT LEGS

Individual four-sided shaped modules used in an assembly for underground storage of storm water and other fluid storage needs. Modules are assembled into a resultant four-sided tiling shape for maximized structural strength and material use efficiency. Internal four-sided shaped modules are assembled and encased by external four-sided shaped modules. Internal adjacent modules are in direct fluid communications with one another through a channel-less chamber. Internal four-sided shaped modules drain into four-sided shaped modules chamber where fluid is either stored or drained. Assemblies include various top and side pieces along with access ports for entry into said assembly.

In various embodiments, the disclosure relates to a system for locating storm and/or waste water to a subsurface region. The system can be sized to replace, in some instances, retention ponds and to increase developable square footage on a region of land. The system can include a conduit for directing a volume of storm and/or waste water to a subsurface region located at least as deep as the aquifer layer. The system can be sized to handle a volume of water generated during a 100 year storm. In certain embodiments, the subsurface region is located directly below a land structure (e.g., a building structure).

Regional rainwater allocation method

An engineering system for collecting and utilizing regional rainwater includes a rainwater collection system, a water quality treatment system, and a control and allocation system. The rainwater collection system includes a rainwater collection ditch for a hardened underlying surface, a barrier and a water storage tank. The water quality treatment system includes a filter system. The control and allocation system includes a water quality monitoring device, a water level monitor, a control gate and a water pump. The filter system is connected to the underlying surface through the rainwater collection ditch, and the filter system is connected to the water storage tank. The control gate is disposed between the filter system and the water storage tank. The water quality monitoring device and the water level monitor are disposed within the water storage tank. The water pump is used to drain water from the water storage tank.

Module and assembly for underground management of fluids for shallow-depth applications

A modular assembly is provided for managing the flow of fluid beneath a ground surface. The assembly can feature a plurality of modules, each having a deck portion and opposing sidewalls extending downward therefrom. The opposing sidewalls can slope outward and away from one another as they extend downward from the deck portion. The modules further comprise a shoulder for supporting a link slab, and to support and separate modules that are stacked during transportation or storage. The sidewalls can define an interior fluid passageway having a flared configuration from top to bottom. The link slab and sidewalls of adjacent modules can define an exterior fluid passageway in fluid communication with a lateral fluid channel. A method is also provided for making a precast concrete module for use in the modular assembly.

Flood control system

A flood control system for remotely and automatically controlling flooding and water storage on reservoirs. The flood control system generally includes a central computer that controls the water level by controlling or communicating with flow control gates positioned near a number of culverts, wherein each flow control gate typically includes: (a) a control unit communicatively coupled to the central computer, the control unit capable of sending local condition data to the central computer via a wireless connection and further capable of receiving control commands from the central computer; (b) an input/output interface capable of receiving signals or data regarding physical conditions proximate the flow control gate, the input/output interface coupled to the control unit; and (c) a water shutoff valve controllable by the control unit and positioned to selectively allow or block the flow of water through each culvert, wherein each control unit controls each water shutoff valve.

Bioretentional System and Method of Construction Thereof

A bioretention system includes a number of connected wall portions defining an enclosure. Each wall portion includes a pair of spaced supports that support one or more panels that are interlocked with the pair of supports via mating interlocking features. Where a wall portion includes an upper panel atop of a lower panel, a lower edge of the upper panel and a top edge of the lower panel are in contact with each other to form the wall portion. The supports are then connected in spaced relation on the transverse axis by internal bars or beams which provide support for the wall portions without the need for external soil reinforcement.

Nested Infiltration Surfaces, Treatment Media, and Distribution Media
20220018109 · 2022-01-20 ·

Nested bands of treatment media and distribution media in an infiltration area are described. These nested bands may be positioned to promote water flow to and through the infiltration area. The nested bands may be linear or non-linear and may be vertically elongated such that they have installation depths deeper than conventional infiltration areas.
