A method and apparatus for conditioning an RV/Marine toilet bowl seal, including providing an apparatus comprising a plug comprising a handle portion; and a solid foam coupled to the handle portion; wherein the handle portion is configured to allow a user to insert or remove the solid foam of the plug from a discharge opening of an RV/Marine toilet bowl; and wherein the solid foam is configured to make contact with at least a portion of the RV/Marine toilet bowl seal; pouring a conditioner into the discharge opening of the RV/Marine toilet bowl; inserting the plug into the discharge opening of the RV/Marine toilet bowl such that the solid foam contacts with at least a portion of the RV/Marine toilet bowl seal; and rotating the plug by about a quarter of a turn.

Vacuum waste system

A waste system is disclosed. In some embodiments, the waste system includes a vacuum cell, a flexible waste container, and a vacuum source. The flexible waste container may have at least one flexible membrane at an interface between the flexible waste container and the vacuum cell. The vacuum source may be configured to suction air out of the vacuum cell to generate a negative pressure in the vacuum cell. The vacuum source discharge is generally odorless as it is separated from the waste. This odorless discharge can enter occupied aircraft compartments. The negative pressure in the vacuum cell acts on the flexible waste container to generate a (second) negative pressure in the flexible waste container. The negative pressure in the flexible waste container acts on an interface between a toilet and the flexible waste container to pull waste from the toilet into the flexible waste container.

The present invention relates to an air admittance valve (AAV) that operates automatically at low pressures to selectively open and close an air passageway between an inlet and an outlet. The AAV comprises a valve body having a centrally disposed, internal valve chamber in communication with the ambient environment, and having a valve seat. The AAV includes a sealing member having a flexible diaphragm that is fastened to a support ring, the ring defining one or more lugs on an outer periphery thereof. The AAV further includes a cap member within which the sealing member may be disposed, such that the one or more lugs may interact with an interior surface of the cap. The sealing member may selectively seal or unseal from the valve seat in response to pressure differentials between the inlet and the outlet.

VACUUM TOILET AND CONTAINER BODY FOR A VACUUM TOILET
20230144334 · 2023-05-11 · ·

A vacuum toilet includes a toilet bowl, a transfer tank with a first tank interior and a flushing water tank with a second tank interior. Flushing water can be conveyed from the flushing water tank into the toilet bowl with the aid of an overpressure that can be applied in the flushing water tank. A suction mass can be drawn from the toilet bowl into the transfer tank with the aid of a vacuum that can be applied in the transfer tank. The transfer tank and the flushing water tank are formed by a container body having a partition wall with a first side and a second side facing away from the first side. The first side delimits the first tank interior of the transfer tank and the second side delimits the second tank interior of the flushing water tank.

AUTOMATIC DRAIN VALVE

A drain valve assembly includes a valve housing having an inlet port and an outlet port and a water collection chamber between the inlet port and the outlet port, and a poppet valve positioned in the water collection chamber and arranged to be normally sealingly positioned across the outlet port to prevent water exiting the water collection chamber to the outlet port. The poppet valve is attached to a pressure diaphragm across the water collection chamber such that when the pressure in the water collection chamber exceeds a predetermined opening pressure it causes the diaphragm to lift and to lift the poppet out of sealing engagement across the outlet port such that water can drain to the outlet port from the water collection chamber. The poppet valve has a hollow body defining a channel from a first end of the poppet valve.

A manual override mechanism for use in a vacuum toilet system may comprise: a shaft extending from a knob; a traveler configured to engage the shaft, the traveler comprising a first gear; a motor rack comprising a second gear configured to engage the first gear; and a flush gate extending from the motor rack, the flush gate configured to transition from a closed position to an open position in response to rotation of the shaft.

FLUSH TOILET

A flush toilet includes a toilet main unit, a reservoir tank, and a connecting pipe member configured to connect the toilet main unit and the reservoir tank in a watertight manner after the connecting pipe member is inserted into the reservoir tank so that the reservoir tank is assembled to a predetermined installation position. The connecting pipe member includes a communicating pipe portion configured to communicate between the conduit of the toilet main unit and an interior of the tank when one end of the connecting member is inserted from the interior of the tank through the outlet of the tank into the inlet of the conduit of the toilet main unit. A horizontal adjustment portion configured to adjust the orientation of the reservoir tank to a horizontal state is provided on the toilet main unit or on the reservoir tank.
