System and method for stabilization of structures by control of soil moisture content
10465357 · 2019-11-05 ·

A soil stabilization system for a structure can include a stem wall and floor slab disposed within a perimeter of the stem wall. An aggregate base course (ABC) layer can be disposed within a perimeter of the stem wall and below the floor slab. A ventilation opening can extend to the ABC layer, and an air exhaust system can extend between the ABC layer and an exterior of the structure. A method of soil stabilization for a structure can include measuring a moisture content of an expansive soil below a structure, drawing dry air through the ABC layer and over a surface of an expansive soil. Moisture can be removed from the expansive soil into the dry air by evaporation to create moist air, and moist air can be evacuated at an exterior of the structure.

SUPPORT FOOTER SYSTEM
20190323196 · 2019-10-24 ·

A support footer system including a set of pre-cast concrete footers to provide additional support for a structure such as a home, garage, or other buildings and increase structural integrity. The pre-cast concrete footers are inserted and installed into a ground surface forming a defined base perimeter. A footer-unit is installed on top of the at least one pre-cast footers forming a support base for a structure to be built thereon.

System, method and apparatus for basement footer concrete forms and drainage-related components

A system for a basement concrete form and drainage are disclosed. The system may include a lineal that is a horizontal concrete form for a footer for a wall and a basement floor. The lineal may include a rectilinear tubular structure having a cavity, an outer wall, and drain perforations in the outer wall to permit fluid transmission from the cavity to an exterior of the lineal. In addition, a retainer may be mounted to a stake for the basement concrete form when the stake is embedded in a formation underlying the lineal. The retainer may be selectively vertically positioned along the stake to adjust a height of the lineal relative to the underlying formation.

WATERPROOFING AND MOISTURE CONTROL INSULATION
20190309510 · 2019-10-10 ·

Described is moisture-controlling insulation apparatus that allows water and moisture to move from the space between an interior and exterior wall of a building to a drainage system. The water moves along a series of interconnecting channels in the apparatus. The channels are configured such that water will not settle in the channels before reaching the drainage system.

Negative-Side Water Proofing for Preexisting Building Structures Subject to Water Intrusion
20190271168 · 2019-09-05 ·

A negative-side waterproof shell (W-shell) is retrofitted onto a below ground preexisting building subject to water intrusion. The W-shell includes a high density polyethylene (HDPE) membrane adhered to the building's sidewalls and floor. The HDPE membrane has a metal core (usually aluminum). The W-shell includes a concrete shell formed on an inboard side of the HDPE membrane. Typically, the W-shell's concrete typically includes rebar and supplemental vertical columns which are thicker than the W-shell. The HDPE membrane has overlapped seams at the vertical to horizontal transition regions. The core may be non-continuous, in strips, or may be ferrous or non-ferrous metals, alloys or aluminum alloys. The W-shell covers the building's interior concrete-formed structures. To seal high tide salt water intrusion, the W-shell extends above the high tide water line. Also, drain piping, leading to a sump, may be laid between the membrane and the floor.
