Innovation In Modular Structures
A fast, flexible, and affordable structural building solution is disclosed. Current construction methodologies are prohibitively costly, slow, and wasteful. This construction method provides responsive and adaptive short to long term structural solutions. A reconfigurable flat packed modular structure can be shipped, assembled, and move-in ready in a fraction of the time of standard structural solutions. This system is easy to assemble and reusable with decreased maintenance costs and utilizes standardized shipping infrastructure. The structural elements are designed to build flexible residential, commercial, and industrial spaces. Component standardization reduces construction and maintenance cost over traditional building methods. The ease of construction reduces the learning curve for the assembly process. Embedded utilities in the components further minimize construction time. The modular nature of the design system allows for rapid assembly, disassembly, and redeployment as needed. Components are specifically built to ship using standard shipping containers for optimal organization of components and transportation.
Apparatus and method for the one-piece production of a room module having three side elements and a floor element and/or a ceiling element, and room module of this type
The invention relates to an apparatus for the one-piece production of a room module (8) having three side elements (24) and a floor element (25) and/or a ceiling element (26), wherein the apparatus takes the form of a parallelepipedal and hollow core formwork (10) around which an outer formwork (9) for the room module (8) to be produced can be arranged. The following are provided here: a) a rectangular head element (11) which consists of first planar elements (1) and second planar elements (2), b) side elements (12, 13, 14, 15) which consist of a third planar elements (3) and fourth planar elements (4) and are arranged perpendicular to the head element (11) in the edge regions thereof, wherein at least the third planar elements (3) or the fourth planar elements (4) have corner regions (17) of the side elements (12, 13, 14, 15), c) the first planar elements (1) can be lowered under the second planar elements (2) of the head element (11) and can be displaced with respect to one another and, subsequently, the second planar elements (2) can be pushed together with a reduction of the rectangular area of the head element (11), and d) the third planar elements (3) and fourth planar elements (4), which are arranged perpendicular to the head element (11), of the side elements (12, 13, 14, 15) can then be moved in succession in the direction of a centre longitudinal axis (16) of the head element (11) or the core formwork (10).
Laminated lumber constructed volumetric modular unit for modular building construction
A laminated lumber constructed volumetric modular unit constructed at a modular unit factory and shipped assembled to a modular building project site is disclosed. The laminated lumber constructed volumetric modular unit includes a floor structure and ceiling structure interconnected by opposing side wall structures and opposing end wall structures, a plurality of floor trusses disposed within the floor structure, a plurality of ceiling trusses disposed within the ceiling structure, a plurality of wall studs disposed within the opposing side wall structures and opposing end wall structures, one or more rim joists attached to the ceiling structure, and one or more multiple laminated lumbers attached to the floor structure and extending between the opposing end wall structures for carrying the load of the modular unit.
AIR TRANSPORTABLE MODULAR SHIPPING CONTAINER FOR DATA CENTERS
This invention describes the use of pre-packaged air shipping containers for delivery of edge data center equipment. The containers are capable of rapid deployment and positioning at the edge data center delivery site to minimize time between the order of equipment and deployment of a functioning edge data center. The containers allow for easy access, and rapid repair/replacement of modular edge data center equipment.
MODULAR CLEARSPAN BUILDING, AND MODULAR BUILDING SECTIONS AND CONSTRUCTION METHODS THEREFOR
A modular building section defining the roof and opposing walls of a modular clearspan building. The building section includes a roof portion extending in a longitudinal direction between opposite first and second ends, and a pair of first and second legs, each leg pivotally attached about a pivot axis to the roof portion proximate a roof portion end. Each of the first and second legs has a stowed position in which the leg generally extends in the longitudinal direction and is in superposition with the roof portion, and an expanded position in which the leg depends from the roof portion and generally extends perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction. The legs are moveable independently of each other from their respective stowed positions to their respective expanded positions under the influence of gravity during lifting of the roof portion. Also disclosed are methods for constructing a modular clearspan building.
