Composite construction for secure compartmentalized enclosure
11643803 · 2023-05-09 · ·

Disclosed are various secure enclosures and associated composite construction methods. The described enclosures preferably utilize one or more prefabricated concrete walls that are mated to one or more metal panels. The panels include hollow ends that are secured to anchors formed within the prefabricated walls. This connection joins the concrete wall and the metal panel in a secure and tamper proof manner. The disclosed methods allow enclosures to be quickly constructed and easily configured depending upon the particular needs of the facility. The enclosures are cost effective, scalable, and easy to assemble.

Laminated bamboo platform and concrete composite slab system

The present technology relates generally to a platform and concrete composite slab system used as a building material. A platform, is formed from joined, substantially coplanar boards with connector plates partially embedded between the boards such that a portion of the connector plates extend above the platform's top surface. A reinforcing material (e.g., wire mesh and/or rebar) can be arranged on the prongs or other portion of the connector plates spaced above the platform and concrete is poured over the reinforcing material and allowed to cure, forming a reinforced concrete layer that encases the connector plates and reinforcing material. The connector plates act as standoffs and help to suspend the reinforcing material in the middle of the concrete layer to increase the strength of the reinforced concrete and to fixedly anchor and bind the concrete layer to the platform, so as to establish a composite action between the platform and the concrete.

Border Security Barrier

A method of installing a reusable security barrier is presented that allows quick installation and removal. In one preferred embodiment, the method comprising providing precast concrete panels having a generally rectangular profile elevation, digging a foundation trench having a length equal to or longer than the panel width, lifting and placing the panel such that a portion of the panel is inserted inside the trench and a portion extends generally vertically upward from the trench forming a barrier, and filling and packing the portion of the trench unfiled by the panel with a filler material to provide a solid foundation. The method can further comprise utilizing multiple panels placed side edge to side edge with their bottom portions inserted inside a trench to form a longer security barrier. The method can further comprising removing the precast concrete panels from the trench for reuse in a second site security barrier when the original security barrier is no longer needed.

A method of making a concrete panel board is provided. The method includes the steps of: (a) providing a substrate; (b) applying a primer layer to the substrate; (c) drying the board after step b; (d) applying a thinset mortar layer to the primer layer; (e) drying the board after step d; (f) applying a plaster layer to the thinset mortar layer; (g) drying the board after step f; and (h) applying a sealant layer to the plaster layer.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THREE-DIMENSIONAL STRUCTURES CREATED IN SUCCESSIVE LAYERS
20170350115 · 2017-12-07 ·

A device for fabricating structures of large dimensions, layer by layer.

The invention relates to a device making use of positioning an extrusion head in three dimensions by means of cables in order to deposit a pasty material continuously in thin layers, e.g. a mortar comprising either a hydraulic binder or thermoplastic compounds or thermosetting compounds or curable compounds.

The invention is for making industrial elements of very large dimensions, and more particularly for making buildings.

PERIMETER WALL

An outer covering of a building includes anchor bolts configured to extend outwardly from an exterior side of floor support structures of the building, a plurality of anchor plates that adjustably mount to the plurality of anchor bolts, and a plurality of spandrel units that mount to an exterior side of the plurality of anchor plates. Each of the plurality of spandrel units includes a first mounting structure that receives a first outer covering section from above and supports a dead weight and lateral load of the first outer covering section via a corresponding one of the plurality of anchor plates and associated anchor bolts, and a second mounting structure configured to rotationally receive a second outer covering section after dead weight of the second outer covering section is loaded on an adjacent spandrel unit located below that one of the plurality of spandrel units.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DISPOSING CARBON DIOXIDE

A system and method for disposing carbon dioxide is disclosed. The system includes a foam generator that generates a plurality of disposable foam vessels from a polymer based solution mixed with water and captured carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The plurality of disposable foam vessels contains an amount of carbon dioxide. The plurality of disposable foam vessels is mixed in a cementitious material with a set of mixers. In a preferred embodiment, the set of mixers is a concrete mixing plant. During the curing process of the cementitious material the plurality of disposable foam vessels dissipates allowing for a timely release of CO.sub.2 to chemically react with the surrounding cementitious material. This irreversible chemistry change permanently disposes of the carbon dioxide.
