A flooring system in contact with a floor includes a foam pad having an upper surface and a lower surface, and having a tapered section having a slope. The flooring system also includes a coating of a primer material disposed upon at least the slope of the tapered section of the upper surface of the foam pad. A coating of an adhesive is disposed upon at least the coating of the primer material. The flooring system also includes a covering where at least a portion of a surface of the covering is in contact with the coating of adhesive.

An interlocking modular mat having four sides has female connectors on two sides and male connectors on the other two sides so that the modular mat can interlock with an adjacent mat and its connectors. The modular mat is configured with a plurality of structures surrounding a periphery of a top portion of the mat. The plurality of structures in combination with an underside of the top portion of the mat form a cavity. A sponge insert is configured to fit in the cavity and have a height such that a portion of the sponge insert extends from a bottom side the mat body. With the sponge insert extending beyond the bottom side of the mat body, the sponge insert bottom face generally become the supporting bottom of the modular mat to provide a more cushioned feel for a mat user.

A ventilated flooring system may generally include a base, a substructure, a top surface, a control box, an air mover, and a sensor. The base, the substructure, and the top surface may form a floor within which the sensor is disposed. The sensor may measure properties of air within the floor, sending measurements to the control box. The control box may activate and deactivate the air mover based on measurements from the sensor and control logic. In some examples, the air mover is connected to an HVAC system and routes air output from the HVAC system into the floor. Further, the ventilated flooring system may also include a second sensor for measuring ambient air, an alarm for providing notice of malfunctions, and/or networking capability that allows for remote monitoring of the system.

An extendable flooring module is disclosed. The extendable flooring module comprising at least two sleeper components, wherein a first sleeper component is positioned parallel to a second sleeper component, at least one cross-arm member having a first end and a second end, and a pivot system comprising fasteners that couple the first end of the cross-arm member to a portion of the first sleeper component and couple the second end of the cross-arm member to a portion of the second sleeper component. The fasteners allow the cross-arm member to pivot relative to the first and second sleeper components and the cross-arm member to span a distance between the first and second sleeper components when the extendable flooring module is placed in an extended position.

An extendable flooring module is disclosed. The extendable flooring module comprising at least two sleeper components, wherein a first sleeper component is positioned parallel to a second sleeper component, at least one cross-arm member having a first end and a second end, and a pivot system comprising fasteners that couple the first end of the cross-arm member to a portion of the first sleeper component and couple the second end of the cross-arm member to a portion of the second sleeper component. The subfloor construction of the drop-zone module can include an upper subfloor layer, an intermediate subfloor layer and a lower subfloor layer. The intermediate and lower subfloor layers can each including alternating panel sections with one panel section constructed from a foam-based material.
