Adaptable platform for loading and unloading railway cars
An apparatus that provides a platform for selectively deployable worker access with fall protection to at least a portion of the top of a container disposed above the ground. The apparatus includes a gate and a ladder extension that selectively operates in an extended mode and a retracted mode with respect to the gate and with respect to an emergency egress ladder extending beneath the platform.
Construction safety handrail support bracket
A versatile handrail and toeboard safety system that provides flexible solutions for the implementation of improved construction site safety barriers using specialized brackets to mount standard wooden members. The brackets of the handrail and toeboard safety system is formed of multiple orthogonally arranged plates creating spaces to receive and secure wooden construction members as a handrail for personnel safety in addition to a toeboard for equipment and materiel safety. The parallel plates are formed with several mounting points for wooden members and several mounting points for anchoring the bracket to a base floor. The brackets are formed to withstand a minimum two-hundred (200) pound force exerted at the top of a forty-five (45) inch tall handrail attached to the anchored bracket. The brackets provide the versatility to be used in various system arrangements and the expeditious setup and removal of the handrail and toeboard safety system.
LIFELINE BRACKET FOR LADDERS, LADDERS INCLUDING LIFELINE BRACKETS AND RELATED WORK PLATFORM SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A bracket for a ladder includes a base member and an arm connected to the base member, the arm being at an angle relative to the base member, the arm comprising a first end having a clamp and a second end having a tethering structure. The base member has a shape configured to be positioned on a rung of a ladder with the clamp engaging a frame member of a work platform system.
LIFELINE DEVICE FOR TEMPORARY SCAFFOLD AND LIFELINE SUPPORT DEVICE
A lifeline support device for being mounted on a scaffold frame having a vertical member and a horizontal arm connected to the vertical member, including a tubular support post base, and a support post securable in the support post base. The support post base has a hook engageable over the horizontal arm, a pipe receiver engageable with the vertical member and a clamp detachably mounted to a lower portion of the tubular support post base for clamping the vertical member, while the support post has a proximal portion fittable into the tubular support post base and a distal portion provided with a ring for receiving a lifeline.
Pump Jack Scaffold System
A scaffold that is quick and easy to assemble while still implementing safety measures. The scaffold can include end caps that resist or prevent users from falling off the ends of the scaffold. The end caps are quickly assembled to the scaffold with a removable rod and pin mechanism. Moreover, to prevent a user from falling off the front or back of the scaffold, a pole and a mid-rail connector can be connected to the scaffold across the front or back, respectively, between an upper barrier and a lower platform. The pole can be inserted through connectors that are coupled to the scaffold, and can also be connected to mid-rail brackets for additional structural stability.
Fall protection system
A fall protection system includes an elevation mechanism including a base end and an elevated end, and that is configured to permit a user to scale the elevation mechanism. The first channel is disposed at a first side of the elevation mechanism and extends between the base end and the elevated end, and is configured to anchor a first shuttle to the elevation mechanism and permit the first shuttle to transition between the base end and the elevated end of the elevation mechanism. The second channel is disposed at a second side of the elevation mechanism and extends between the base end and the elevated end, and is configured to anchor a second shuttle to the elevation mechanism and permit the second shuttle to transition between the base end and the elevated end of the elevation mechanism.
SAFETY DEVICE FOR A LIFTING APPARATUS, LIFTING APPARATUS, LIFTING SYSTEM AND CORRESPONDING SAFETY CONTROL METHOD
A safety device is described that can be used on a column or a segment of a column which functions as a support of a lifting apparatus, such as a goods hoist or an elevator or a work platform, used on a construction site. Furthermore, the safety device can be used in combination with the lifting apparatus mounted on the column or the segment of a column. In addition, the safety device can be used in all vertical constructions that are modularly mounted from the bottom upward.
DEVICE FOR ANCHORING AN OPERATOR TO A HEIGHT WORK STRUCTURE, AS WELL AS AN AERIAL BUCKET COMPRISING SUCH AN ANCHORING DEVICE
The anchoring device (100) comprises a housing (110), provided with a means (113) of fastening to the height work structure, and a linkage member (120), provided with a fastener (122) which can be hooked by a lanyard (40) to be attached to the operator. The linkage member is movably mounted on the housing along a direction of movement (X120) to move between a retracted configuration. in which the fastener is arranged within an internal volume of the housing to prevent hooking by the lanyard, and an extended configuration in which the fastener is arranged outside the internal volume so that it can be hooked by the lanyard and. once the fastener is hooked by the lanyard. the housing interferes with the lanyard to prevent the linkage member from returning to the retracted configuration. The position of the linkage member in the direction of movement is detected by at least one position sensor (151, 152) arranged in the internal volume.
Systems and methods for preventing a walkway platform flip door from being raised without a guardrail installed
In an example, a system for preventing a flip door from being raised without a guardrail installed is disclosed. The system includes a guardrail having a post, and the post having a post dog. The system also includes a safety latch mechanism configured to be coupled to a fixed structure. The safety latch mechanism includes a body, a socket disposed in the body and configured to receive the post, and a door latch rotatably coupled to the body and biased in a latched position that is configured to retain a flip door in a lowered position. Based on the post being inserted into the socket of the safety latch mechanism, the post dog engages with and rotates the door latch from the latched position to an unlatched position, thereby allowing the flip door to be raised from the lowered position to a raised position.
Scaffold safety device and monitoring system
A scaffold safety device (120) has a body (122) having an engagement formation (124) configured to engage with an element (20, 72) of a scaffold assembly (10). The device (120) also has a pressure sensor (126) configured to detect when the body is disengaged from the scaffold assembly. The engagement formation includes first and second arms (128, 130) extending away from the body. The arms are separated by a cavity (134). The cavity is configured to receive a threaded rod and a tightening nut (135) of the scaffold assembly. The pressure sensor is included on one arm (128) and is configured to detect when a pressure attains a predetermined threshold value. The pressure sensor is in communication with a control board (86) which is connected to an antenna (140) on a secondary scaffold safety device (142).
