Support structure for a wind turbine

Supporting structure, in particular for a wind power plant, having at least two sub-segments which are at least partially connected to one another and are respectively formed from a metal plate having a longitudinal extent and a width extent. The longitudinal extent being greater than the width extent, and the sub-segments each having longitudinal edges extending in longitudinal extent and being connected to one another at mutually abutting joint surfaces along the longitudinal edges by a welded joint respectively. The sub-segments respectively have end edges extending in width, the sub-segments being bent along their end edges respectively. The respective welded joint has in sections a thickness which is smaller than a wall thickness of the metal plate and in sections a thickness which corresponds at least to the wall thickness of the metal plate.

MAST ASSEMBLY FOR DRILLING RIG
20220243456 · 2022-08-04 ·

A mast assembly for a drilling rig includes a mast formed from a plurality of mast subunits. The mast assembly includes a lower drilling machine, upper drilling machine, and upper mud assembly, each of which is coupled to and movable vertically relative to the mast. The mast subunits are separable when the mast is in a transport configuration such that the LDM is positioned in a first subunit and the UDM is in a second subunit of the mast when the mast is in the transport configuration. The mast assembly may be used during a continuous drilling operation.

METHOD FOR THE DISASSEMBLY OF TOWER OF A WIND POWER PLANT
20220251866 · 2022-08-11 ·

A method for, in particular completely or partially, disassembling a tower of a wind power plant, comprising the following steps: selecting suitable disassembly measures as a function of the tower location and the tower characteristics; preparing the disassembly, in particular of the tower and optionally the surroundings; carrying out the disassembly; and transporting the disassembled tower away.

High-capacity mast on a drilling rig

A method of building and operating a land-based drilling rig with a high-capacity mast include providing a platform collapsed on a substructure over a proposed well drilling location and building the high-capacity mast in a horizontal condition by attaching a lower portion of the high-capacity mast to the platform. The high-capacity mast having an opening formed therein sized to accommodate four Range 2 pipes or three Range 3 pipes. The high-capacity mast may be raised from the horizontal condition to a vertical condition by pushing the side of the high-capacity mast to pivot the high-capacity mast about a pivot point on the platform. The platform may be raised from a collapsed condition to a raised condition over the substructure. Some implementations include dual racking boards on the high-capacity mast.

Wood connection for large wooden constructions comprising a first wood module, a second wood module and a perforated steel plate comprising a plurality of holes, where the first wood module and the second wood module comprises a plurality of laminated wood layers, where each wood layer comprises a plurality of laminated veneer plies, where a first part of the perforated steel plate is mounted in the first wood module with glue, and where a second part of the perforated steel plate is mounted in the second wood module with glue, with a centreline of the perforated steel plate aligned with a split line between the first wood module and the second wood module, and where the perforated steel plate has a tensile strength exceeding 700 MPa and that a wood module is at least 6 cm thick and has a tensile strength exceeding 20 MPa.

Embedded pole adapter assembly

A device that includes pier caps. Each pier cap is configured to couple to a pole that is at least partially embedded below a surface of a ground. The device further includes threaded rods coupled with the pier caps. The device further includes an assembly frame that includes a base plate and coupling arms. The base plate includes a first plurality of openings that are configured to interface with a structure that is installed onto the base plate. The first plurality of openings are configured to allow a position of the structure to be adjusted radially about the base plate. Each coupling arm includes a second plurality of openings that are configured to allow a position of the assembly frame to be adjusted along a horizontal plane. Each coupling arm is coupled to a threaded rod and a position for each coupling arm is adjustable vertically along the threaded rod.
