Break resistant utility pole design
10774559 · 2020-09-15 ·

A utility pole is resistant to breakage by providing a connection between an upper and a lower portion. In many embodiments, the upper portion with an arm supporting a utility line is able to deflect relative to a lower portion at the connection and then either be replaced or restored to the upright configuration.

Mast with hydraulic circuit for assist cylinder

A mast assembly that includes a mast and a hydraulic circuit for moving the mast. The hydraulic circuit includes a primary hydraulic cylinder coupled to the mast to rotate the mast about a pivot axis and a secondary hydraulic cylinder extending from a rod end to a cap end that is fluidly coupled to the primary hydraulic cylinder. A directional valve is fluidly coupled between the primary hydraulic cylinder and secondary hydraulic cylinder to keep a pressure on the cap end of the secondary hydraulic cylinder greater than the pressure on the rod end of the secondary hydraulic cylinder during all operating conditions.

Extendable/Retractable Support Column

An extendable and retractable column which is formed from at least three linked sections or chains. The linked sections include a plurality of individual segments linked end to end. As the linked segments are extended, each of the individual segments of the linked chains engage individual segments of adjacent linked sections to form a column. As the linked sections are retracted, each of the individual segments of the linked sections disengage from the individual segment of the adjacent linked sections and the individual linked sections may be rolled up into a multi-sided form for compact storage.

FOUNDATION WITH PEDESTAL AND RIBS FOR TOWERS
20200277800 · 2020-09-03 ·

A wind turbine foundation comprising a concrete support slab having a horizontal rebar grid therein, a concrete pedestal integral with the support slab and having vertical post tensioning elements therein and a plurality of concrete ribs on top of and integral with the support slab and integral with the pedestal, the ribs having rebar therein and extend outwardly from the pedestal, the pedestal, slab and ribs are connected to each other to form a monolithic foundation. The foundation design reduces the weight and volume of materials used, reduces cost, and improves heat dissipation conditions during construction by having a small ratio of concrete mass to surface area thus eliminating the risk of thermal cracking due to heat of hydration.

Lattice tower

This invention relates to lattice tower for actuate under high load conditions, more particularly to lattice towers utilized for wind turbines and other applications comprising three metallic legs arranged in a triangular configuration around a vertical axis of the lattice tower, wherein each metallic leg has a closed cross-section profile, a distance between the center of metallic legs in a bottom portion of the tower is greater than 4 meters, an angle of inclination of a central longitudinal axis of each metallic leg in relation to the vertical axis of the tower is between 1.7 degree and +1.7 degrees, and the height of the lattice tower is greater than 60 meters, a plurality of bracing members and auxiliary bracing members and a support platform disposed at a top portion of the tower.
