20240254804 · 2024-08-01 ·

The present disclosure is directed to a lock assembly comprising an inner housing positionable on one side of a movable structure such as a door and an outer housing positionable on an opposing side of the structure. A pocket connection region having an aperture formed through a wall of the inner housing is configured to receive a head of a fastener therethrough. After the fastener extends through the aperture, a clamp device may be moved from an open position to a closed position so as to releasably lock the fastener to the pocket connection region of the inner housing. In another form, a retainer is configured to hold the fastener with respect to the inner housing during installation of the lock assembly. In this manner an inner housing may be quickly connected to an outer housing when installing a lock assembly to the structure.

HANDLE APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
20190055761 · 2019-02-21 · ·

A handle apparatus for a vehicle includes a support member, a bell crank rotatable between an initial position and an operation position and causing the lock apparatus to be in a latched state and in an unlatched state, and a handle including a pressing portion. In a state where the pressing portion is in contact with a pressed portion provided at the bell crank, the handle causes, via the pressed portion and the pressing portion, the bell crank to rotate between the initial position and the operation position when the handle rotates. The apparatus includes a temporary hold member supported by the bell crank in such a manner that the temporary hold member is slidable between a first position and a second position, and the temporary hold member includes an engagement portion configured to engage with and disengage from an engaging portion provided at the support member.

Vehicle door latch device

A vehicle door latch device which efficiently performs connecting a motion-transmitting member to an operating lever and attaching an auxiliary cover to a housing simultaneously from one direction is provided. The auxiliary cover comprises a holding portion which is capable of holding the motion-transmitting members to the side facing a coupling area; and positioning mechanism which can position coupling portions of the motion-transmitting member. Without fixing the auxiliary cover to the coupling area, the motion-transmitting members are held by the holding portion. The coupling portions are positioned by the positioning mechanism. By fixing the auxiliary cover to the coupling area, the coupling portions can be coupled to coupled portions of the operating levers which are stationary at a predetermined position.

Method for installing a lockset

A lockset is actuable by pivoting a handle about a longitudinal axis of the lockset by rotating the handle and by pivoting the handle about an axis transverse to the lockset axis, such as by pushing or pulling. The lockset includes an inside handle and an outside handle, each associated with an independent mechanism, each of which can independently actuate the lockset. A locking mechanism prevents actuation of a first one of the independent handle mechanisms without affecting operation of the other handle mechanism. Upon actuation of the other handle mechanism, a retractor engages a surface of the locking mechanism and removes it from engagement with the first locking mechanism. An adjustment ring has a first configuration that centers the lockset in a door having a first standard thickness and a second configuration that centers the lockset in a door having a second standard thickness.

Rafter angle square door clamp stand system
10005173 · 2018-06-26 ·

A rafter angle square door clamp stand system functions like a truss, utilizing tension and compression. A horizontal tension base is suspended off of the ground by rotatable support members, one at each end of the base. The tension base has a T shaped slot that runs the length of the base. Two rafter angle squares, each having a T shaped member, slide into the slot of the base, one from each end of the base, with the vertical edges of the angle squares facing each other. The weight of the door on the tension base causes the base to flex downward, and the rafter squares to compress, holding the door in an upright position. Stop elements prevent the angle squares from moving backwards when the door is compressed and clamped. The system can be converted to support cylindrical objects, by reversing the positions of the angle squares.
