Lockdown cylinder locks
An exemplary lock cylinder includes a shell, a plug positioned in the shell, and a locking assembly. The locking assembly is configured to prevent rotation of the plug when no key is inserted, and to permit rotation of the plug upon insertion of any of a plurality of keys having different bitting profiles. The locking assembly may further be configured to prevent key extraction when the plug is in a rotated position.
CYLINDER LOCK AND KEY SYSTEM
A cylinder lock and key system. The plugs comprise a housing having a cylindrical bore; and a cylindrical plug which is rotatable and which exhibits a front end and a keyway. The keys comprise a key bow; and a key blade is rotatable about the rotational axis when inserted. The plugs and keys are provided with cooperating stop surfaces for defining the fully inserted position of the keys. At least one first stop surface is in contact with a corresponding second stop surfaces when a key is inserted in the keyway of a lock. At least two first stop surfaces of each key are arranged adjacent each other and at least two second stop surfaces of each lock are arranged adjacent each other, at or in proximity to the keyway. The invention also relates to a cylinder lock and key combination, a key, a key blank and a cylinder lock.
LOCK CYLINDER WITH ELECTRONIC KEY RECOGNITION
A lock cylinder including a plug, a plurality of key followers, a sensor assembly structured to sense positions of the key followers, and a controller in communication with the sensor assembly. The plug includes a keyway and a plurality of plug tumbler shafts. Each of the key followers is movably seated in a corresponding one of the plug tumbler shafts and includes a sensor interface. The sensor assembly includes a plurality of sensors, each of which includes at least one sensing region. Each of the key followers is associated with one of the sensors via an associative link formed between the sensor interface and the corresponding sensing region. The sensors are structured to generate an output signal indicative of the transverse position of the associated key follower, and the controller is structured to select and perform actions based upon the output signals.
Cylinder lock and associated key
A cylinder lock and an associated key, the lock including a fixed body and a plug which is accommodated within a respective cavity of the body and can rotate with respect to the body. The plug includes a substantially longitudinal compartment for the functional accommodation of a key which includes a grip portion from which an elongated body extends and which is provided with coding grooves and protrusions on its outer surface. Between the plug and the body are respective accommodation channels for translating coding elements, which open onto the substantially longitudinal compartment. The plug includes at least one auxiliary duct which faces the substantially longitudinal compartment and extends at least partially in the body for the sliding accommodation of at least one coding unit that includes at least one pin and at least one conical portion.
Key and corresponding lock
The invention relates to a key (1) for locking a cylinder lock, comprising at least one first surface (2) and at least one second surface (2), with sensing positions (4) provided along the longitudinal extent of the key (1), wherein at least one code (3) is provided on the first surface (2) and wherein at least one further code (3) is provided on the second surface (2), the codes comprising control points (6, 6, 7, 7) at the sensing positions (4) that are provided transversely to the longitudinal extent of the key (1) and arranged at certain control heights (5), wherein at least at one sensing position (4) at least one control point (25, 25) has a different dimension, preferably a larger diameter, on the two surfaces than a control point (6, 6, 7, 7) at another sensing position (4). The invention also relates to a lock for such a key and a system made up of at least two locks and at least one key.
ELECTRO-MECHANICAL LOCK CORE
An interchangeable electro-mechanical lock core for use with a lock device having a locked state and an unlocked state is disclosed. The interchangeable electro-mechanical lock core may include a moveable plug having a first position relative to a lock core body which corresponds to the lock device being in the locked state and a second position relative to a lock core body which corresponds to the lock device being in the unlocked state. The interchangeable electro-mechanical lock core may include a core keeper moveably coupled to a lock core body. The core keeper may be positionable in a retain position wherein the core keeper extends beyond an envelope of lock core body to hold the lock core body in an opening of the lock device and a remove position wherein the core keeper is retracted relative to retain position to permit removal.
PULLER TOOL
A puller for use with a lock device is disclosed. The lock device may have an interchangeable core. The puller may include a puller assembly, the puller assembly including a puller core body having an opening sized to receive at least a portion of an operator actuation assembly of the lock device, a first engagement surface positioned to engage a portion of a rear end of the operator actuation assembly of the lock device, a second engagement surface positioned to engage a portion of a front end of a core assembly of the lock device, and an actuator which is moveable to alter a separation between the first engagement surface and the second engagement surface.
Key combination element in key blank and key
A key device includes a generally elongate shaft portion that has first and second oppositely directed side surfaces, at least one of which is cuttable to form key cuts that define a key combination surface. First and second key combination elements, disposed in the elongate shaft portion, are side-by-side one another at different lateral positions along the width of the elongate shaft portion and located at overlapping longitudinal positions along the length of the elongate shaft portion. The first and second key combination elements are each pivotable about a pivot axis.
High security lock with slider to isolate lock pins from cylinder applied torque
A locking system uses a lock housing, a lock cylinder for rotation in the lock housing, pins to control the lock cylinder being in unlocked or locked states relative to the lock housing, and a key to control the position of the pins. The system further includes a slider or lock bar within the lock housing. The slider moves relative to the lock cylinder and the lock housing between (i) a cylinder locking position blocking rotation of the lock cylinder relative to the lock housing so as to isolate the pins from the torque applied to the lock cylinder while allowing the pins to be displaced between the locked and unlocked positions thereof and (ii) a pin locking position of the slider in which the pins are resisted from movement relative to the lock housing and the lock cylinder while rotation of the lock cylinder is uninhibited by the slider.
