Door arrangement
A door arrangement has a door frame, a door leaf, door hinges and a magnetic closure device, wherein the door hinges are fastened on a hinge side of the door leaf and join the door leaf swivelably with the door frame. The door frame has a step for stopping the door leaf in the closed position, the step having a stop arm overlapping the door leaf in the closed position and a lateral arm. The closure device is formed from a magnet arrangement on the door frame as well as a magnetic material on a rim of the door leaf. The magnet arrangement is disposed on the lateral arm in such a way that a gap remains between the magnet arrangement and the magnetic material disposed on the rim of the door leaf.
RETROFIT LATCH ADAPTER
A retrofit latch adapter is configured to replace a pre-existing roller head latch assembly of a pre-existing exit device. The retrofit latch adapter may include a flat latch head that may provide additional security for a door compared with the pre-existing roller head pre-existing latch assembly.
Universal Rim Housing Locking System
A handle assembly includes a lock cylinder of a selected one of a first standard or a different second standard. A tail piece extends from the lock cylinder. The handle assembly also includes a vertical tubular member, a horizontal tubular member and a transition plate. The transition plate is disposed within the vertical tubular member and is moveable between a first position and a different second position. The transition plate accommodates installation of the lock cylinder of the first standard when in the first position and installation of the lock cylinder of the second standard when in the second position. A mechanical linkage is coupled to the tail piece and effects movement of a locking bolt in response to turning of a key in the lock cylinder.
Insulated portal
A method of assembling a portal can include obtaining a stile, wherein the stile can include a first stile and a second stile; arranging a thermal strut and insulative bar between the first stile and the second stile, wherein the insulative bar can define a lock groove; arranging a lock assembly within the lock groove, wherein the lock assembly can include a fastening plate rotatably coupled to the lock assembly; and coupling the lock assembly to the stile by rotating the fastening plate and, thereafter, engaging fasteners to provide friction between the fastening plate and the insulative bar.
Electromechanical door lock actuator device for glass doors with narrow frames, a door with such device and a retrofit method
An electromechanical door lock actuation device with an actuator module is mounted on a metal profile of a glass door such that the actuator module is offset from the door lock in order for the actuator module to not block opening of the door.
Dampener for an exit device
A dampener for an exit device may be disposed between a portion of an exit device actuator and an exit device chassis so that the dampener dampens vibrations to reduce noise of the exit device and/or inhibit unintentional movement of the actuator to an actuated position. The dampener may be composed at least partially of a viscoelastic material.
Door and window securing apparatus and method
A locking apparatus and method for securing a door or window comprising a substantial controllable mechanical locking mechanism that secures the sliding door or window into the receiving channel such that the locking mechanism cannot be disengaged from the receiving structure by a manual force; prevents the door or window from being lifted out of a bottom track by mere manual force; is able to report the door or window status as closed or open and as locked or unlocked to a remote user; is able to be remotely locked and unlocked using an application running on a mobile device or computer, or, alternatively by accessing a web accessible portal from a mobile device, electronic device or computer; and is manually operable by a user in the event of a power outage. A manually operated embodiment is useful for use cases in which no electric power is available.
HANDLE ASSEMBLY WITH LOCK, PARTICULARLY FOR A GLASS LEAF
Described is a handle assembly (10) with lock (100), particularly for a glass leaf (200), which comprises a first fastening member (11), having a first abutment face (12) designed to make contact with a first face (201) of a leaf (200), a second fastening member (13) and connecting means (15) for mutually connecting the fastening means (11, 13).
The first fastening member (11) comprises: a casing (17) equipped with an operating opening (18); a housing (19) for a cylinder (101) of the lock (100) and equipped with locking means (21) for blocking the cylinder (101) and facing the operating opening (18) for being actuated through the latter; a closing element (22) movable with respect to the housing (19) between an open position and a closed position in contrast with elastic means (23).
In the closed position of the closing element (22) it is interposed between the operating position (18) and the locking means (21) and in the open position the closing element (22) protrudes from the first abutment face (12) and it is not interposed between the operating opening (18) and the locking means (21) for allowing the actuation of the latter from the outside of the casing (17).
PATCH LOCK ASSEMBLY
A patch lock assembly releasably secures a glass door to an adjacent glass panel in a locked orientation. The patch lock assembly comprises a latch adapter housing, a strike adapter housing, and first and second power supply adapter housings. The latch adapter housing may interchangeably receive one of any number of various latch mechanisms without requiring further modification of the door. The strike adapter housing may interchangeably receive one of any number of various strikes, including electric strikes, without requiring further modification of the door. Respective power supply adapter housings may be coupled to each latch adapter housing and strike adapter housing. The power supply adapters include a power source and control unit to provide the necessary power to operate the latch and strike. Various interlocking features may be incorporated in the design to resist unwanted movement of the patch lock assembly relative to the glass panel.
OVERHEAD LOCKING DEVICE
A lock unit of an electric locking device comprises a lock housing, a keeper, an inhibitor and a latch bolt. A second end of the latch bolt is positioned outwardly and cooperates with the inhibitor when in a locked orientation. The keeper includes a keeper shaft having a shaft axis of rotation, wherein said keeper is rotatable about said keeper shaft between first and second rotational positions, wherein the keeper is movable between first and second directional positions relative to the lock housing, wherein the movement between the first and second directional positions is generally linear, wherein when the keeper is held in the first rotational position and the first directional position by the inhibitor, the door is secured to the door frame, and wherein when the keeper is in the second rotational position and the second directional position, the door is allowed to move away from said door frame.
