SECURITY APPARATUS FOR PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A security apparatus for a portable electronic device having an aperture includes a lock mechanism having a lock cylinder and a cam member. The lock cylinder is configured to be rotated by a key. The cam member is coupled to the lock cylinder for rotation with the lock cylinder. The cam member has a slot. The security apparatus also includes an engagement mechanism having a first finger, a second finger, and a plunger. The first finger and the second finger are configured to be inserted into the aperture of the portable electronic device. The plunger is positioned between the first finger and the second finger and has a cam follower positioned within the slot of the cam member. As the cam member is rotated by the lock cylinder, the plunger pushes the first finger and the second finger apart from each other to engage the portable electronic device.
Dock for a portable electronic device
A dock for a portable electronic device includes a base and an arm movably supported on the base. The arm has a ratchet gear set and a distal end configured to engage the portable electronic device to secure the portable electronic device to the base. The dock further includes a ratchet pawl positioned within the base. The ratchet pawl is movable between a first position, in which the ratchet pawl engages the ratchet gear set to inhibit movement of the arm relative to the base, and a second position, in which the ratchet pawl disengages the ratchet gear set to allow movement of the arm relative to the base. The dock further includes an electronic actuator operable to actuate the ratchet pawl from the first position to the second position.
COOLER LOCK
A cooler access control system locks a cooler when occurrence of an event is detected that requires limiting access to the inside of the cooler. Examples of such events include the loss of power to the cooler for a predetermined period of time, the opening of the cooler door for longer than an allowed time, the loss of functionality of a temperature probe and others. In an embodiment, a service mode is supported wherein the door is left unlocked despite the occurrence of such an event, to allow a stocker or other personnel to leave the cooler door open while stocking the cooler with product.
Recoil security apparatus for portable electronic devices
A recoil security apparatus comprises a body extending along a body axis and comprising an inner surface. The inner surface defines a plurality of surface features and surrounds a shaft extending along the body axis. A first holder is supported by the body and a second holder supported by the body. A securing member comprises an outer surface and is configured to traverse the shaft and engage the plurality of surface features. The securing member connects to the first holder at a first end and to the second holder at a second end. Rotation of the securing member in a first direction causes one of the first holder and the second holder to move in a direction away from the body. Alternatively, rotation of the securing member in a second direction causes one of the first holder and the second holder to move in a direction toward the body.
COMBINATION LOCK FOR ELECTORNIC DEVICES
A combination lock for electronic devices may include a main body, a digit lock core, a key lock core, a control unit, a driving block, a switching unit, and two engaging units. The combination lock can be locked/unlocked through the digit lock core and the key lock core, and also when the combination lock is locked on the electronic device, the main body can be axially rotated to enable a digit wheel of the digit lock core to be faced to the designated direction.
LOCKING MEMBERS
In some examples, an apparatus can include a first locking member, the first locking member including a column, a first magnet movably located in the first locking member, a second locking member rotatably connected to the column, and a second magnet located in the second locking member, where when the first magnet is in a disengaged position, the second locking member is rotatable about the column, and when the first magnet is translated from the disengaged position to an engaged position in the first locking member, a magnetic force is created between the first magnet and the second magnet to align the first locking member and the second locking member.
Apparatus, Method and a Computer program for Retaining a Hand Portable Electronic Device
An apparatus, a method and a computer program are provided. The apparatus comprises a retainer, for receiving and retaining a hand portable electronic device, that comprises a lock and at least one sensor. The lock is configured to transition the retainer between an unlocked configuration and a locked configuration. In the locked configuration the retainer is arranged to prevent release of a hand portable electronic device retained by the retainer. The sensor is arranged to receive at least one wireless signal emitted by the hand portable electronic device retained by the retainer. The apparatus further comprises processing circuitry configured to control the lock to transition the retainer from the locked configuration to the unlocked configuration, based on the at least one wireless signal received by the sensor, in order to enable the hand portable electronic device to be released from the retainer.
Product merchandising systems with enhanced security features
This disclosure is directed to product merchandising systems that are designed to prevent brute force attempts to steal a product on display. The merchandising systems include security features that enhances the strength of the connection between a puck assembly and a base assembly and between the base assembly and a display surface. The merchandising systems are suited for withstanding brute force pulling attacks on the puck assembly and the base assembly.
ANTI-THEFT CONNECTOR FOR EQUIPMENT
The present invention is to provide an anti-theft connector for equipment that can be used for different sized security slots with a single device, wherein the anti-theft connector is to be fixed to security slots of equipment, and comprises insertion pieces 20, 20 that have insertion pawls 21, 21 protruding and engageable with the security slots and base portions 22, 22, an angle adjusting means 30 adapted to enter between the base portions and to adjust the relative opening angles of the insertion pieces at least by a first opening angle and a second opening angle, and a locking means 40 for holding and locking the angle adjusting means.
PORT LOCK MODULE FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND PORT LOCK APPARATUS INCLUDING SAME
A port lock module for an electronic device includes a module frame formed by corresponding to size and shape of a port of an electronic device and having a frame shape having open opposite ends, the module frame having a main locking member configured to be transformed outward by an external force so as to be held in or released from a locking hole formed in the port, a locking module having a locking module body fixedly installed inside the module frame, and a sub-locking member connected to the locking module body such that the sub-locking member is elastically transformable, and a pattern module being installed to move inside and outside of the module frame between a locking position and an unlocking position.
