CHOLERA VACCINE FORMULATION
Described herein are dry compositions that can be stored at ambient temperature without major loss of potency.
Toxoid preparation and uses thereof
The present invention relates to toxoid preparations comprising a non-disrupted and/or a non-denatured toxin associated with a particulate vector that minimizes or precludes said toxin from inflicting damage at an action site of said toxin. The present invention also relates to immunogenic compositions or vaccines comprising the toxoid preparations, and the methods of using the toxoid preparations, immunogenic compositions or vaccines.
Cell surface anchoring antigen conjugates to treat cancer
This disclosure provides cell surface anchoring antigen conjugates, formulations comprising cell surface anchoring antigen conjugates, and methods of using the same for treating cancer.
Feed composition for preventing or treating acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND) or white spot syndrome (WSS), comprising a Bacillus subtilis strain, a Bacillus pumilus strain, and a Bacillus licheniformis strain as active ingredients
A feed composition for preventing or treating acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND) or white spot syndrome (WSS), having a Bacillus subtilis (KCCM11143P) strain, a Bacillus pumilus (KCCM11144P) strain, and a Bacillus licheniformis (KCCM11270P) strain; culture media thereof; concentrates thereof; or dry matters thereof as an active ingredient. The feed composition exhibits antibacterial activity against Vibrio parahaemolyticus, which causes shrimp AHPND, and antiviral activity against white spot syndrome virus (WSSV), which causes WSS.
Methods and compositions related to the next generation vaccine
Disclosed are methods and compositions related to polypeptides comprising a fusion of the needle tip protein and translocator protein of a type III secretion apparatus (T3SA) from a type III secretion system (T3SS) of a Gram negative bacteria. Disclosed herein are fusion polypeptides comprising a fusion of a needle tip protein, such as, Bsp22, LcrV, BipD, PcrV, CT053, or CT668, or anantigenic fragment thereof; and a translocator protein, such as, BopB, YopB, BipB, PopB, CopB, or CopB2, or anantigenic fragment thereof from a Type III secretion system (T3SS) of a Gram negative bacteria, such as, Bordetella, Burkholderia, Chlamydia, Pseudomonas, Vibrio, or Yersinia.
Yeast vaccine vector including immunostimulatory and antigenic polypeptides and methods of using the same
Vaccine compositions including a yeast comprising an immunostimulatory polypeptide and optionally an antigenic polypeptide are provided herein. The immunostimulatory polypeptide and the antigenic polypeptide are expressed or displayed on the surface of the yeast vaccine composition. Methods of using the vaccine composition to vaccinate subjects are also provided.
SERUM FREE INTRACELLULAR PATHOGEN VACCINE
A vaccine composition comprising a virus antigen wherein the composition comprises less than 5% serum, wherein the virus antigen is a whole virus or derived from a whole virus, the vaccine composition reduces, prevents or avoids cross-stitch spinal deformity in the treated animal. Said vaccine composition for use in a method of treating a disease caused by the intracellular pathogen in an animal and reducing, preventing or avoiding cross-stitch spinal deformity in the treated animal. In cross-stitch vertebra the intervertebral space is completely collapsed. A vaccine composition for use as defined above wherein the animal is a fish. In an embodiment the pathogen is salmon alpha virus (SAV).
BACTERIAL VACCINE
The present document discloses a method for producing a bacterial vaccine composition against bacterial diseases in animals, such as tetrapods or fish, wherein said bacterial vaccine composition comprises inactivated bacteria of the bacterium causing said bacterial diseases. The method involves exposing the bacteria to different growth conditions and then preparing a bacterial vaccine composition where the bacteria are exposed to different growth conditions. With vaccines prepared by the present method, bacterial diseases that previously had not been able to be cured could be treated or the effect of the treatment was more long-lasting.
Probiotic bacteria for fish
A method for increasing the weight and growth rate of fish, preferably Salmonidae, and for preventing and/or treating microbial infections, comprising the steps of a) adding one or more species of probiotic bacteria to water, wherein the species of bacteria comprises or consists of Aliivibrio njordis, Aliivibrio balderis and/or Aliivibrio nannie; and b) exposing the fish to the water containing the one or more species of probiotic bacteria. Preferably, the bacterial strains Aliivibrio njordis strain B1-25, 8-1/2013 mandib V11, Aliivibrio balderis B1-24, 18-1/2013 kidn V12 and/or Aliivibrio nannie B8-24, 313/2013 kidn V13 are used.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCTION OF ANTIBIOTIC FREE BIOPHARMACEUTICALS IN LETTUCE CHLOROPLASTS
Compositions and methods for producing marker free biopharmaceutical proteins in the plastids of edible plants are disclosed. Also provided are methods for oral administration of such proteins to subjects in need thereof for the treatment of disease.
