CHASSIS RETENTION ASSEMBLY
20170275912 · 2017-09-28 ·

A retention bracket configured for use with a latch mechanism including a laterally extending housing. The retention bracket includes a first wall, a second wall, a collar, and a deformable section. The first and second walls are longitudinally offset from one another and are structured to receive the housing therebetween. The collar extends longitudinally outward from one of the walls and defines an opening having an effective diameter. The deformable section has a natural state in which the effective diameter is a first diameter, and a deformed state in which the effective diameter is a second diameter greater than the first diameter.

Bin Latch System
20170226781 · 2017-08-10 · ·

A bin latch system. A bin latch mechanism that has been designed with weight, number of components, simplicity of operation and installation as main design drivers. The bin latch utilizes spring loaded rods that are ‘pulled’ to release the locking subassemblies. The rods lock two sets of interlocking housings in place. Due to the nature of the rod actuator, the design is binary in nature and needs both sets of interlocking housings to be secured before the interface handle can go to ‘full close’ position. Additionally, there is no rigging necessary at install. Once the assembly is in secured in place, it is ready to be operated.

MODULAR LATCH BAR
20170321455 · 2017-11-09 ·

A modular latch bar is formed from a first segment that is configured to be connected to a locker handle and one or more extension segments which are attached to the first segment. One of the segments has an elongated body having a front surface, a back surface, a first end and a second end; and a T-shaped locking tab extending from the first end. Another segment has an elongated body having a front surface, a back surface, a first end and a second end. This segment has a T-shaped recess on the back surface. The T-shaped recess is sized and configured to receive the T-shaped locking tab and create a friction fit between the T-shaped locking tab and segment having the T-shaped recess. A post may be provided in the recess that fits into a hole in the T-shaped locking tab to provide a snap fit connection.

SINGLE RELEASE LATCHING SYSTEM WITH MULTIPLE INDEPENDENTLY LATCHING LATCH ASSEMBLIES
20220228407 · 2022-07-21 · ·

A latching system includes a guide body, and a latch rod slidably retained by the guide body. Latch assemblies fixed to the latch rod, are spaced apart from one another, and independently biased to a latched position. A first rod-biasing spring is coaxial with the latch rod and disposed between the guide body and a first latch assembly. The first rod-biasing spring biases the latch rod to a rest position corresponding with a latched position of the latch assemblies. Multiple catches are secured at a spacing equal to a spacing of the latch assemblies on the latch rod such that the latch assemblies latch to the catches independently of one another. A force on the latch rod against the first rod-biasing spring moves the latch rod along the longitudinal axis of the latch rod from a rest position to an actuated position and unlatches the latch assemblies simultaneously.

INSTALLATION STRUCTURE OF AUXILIARY LOCKING DEVICE FOR HINGED DOOR
20210388647 · 2021-12-16 ·

The present invention relates to an installation structure of an auxiliary locking device for a hinged door, and by operating a rotation lever installed on a door frame separately from a generally used security main locking device, the rotating opening side of the hinged door is vertically attached to the door frame in close contact with the door frame at a number of points in the longitudinal direction, and in order to make it easier to fix and maintain such a tight state. More particularly, the present invention is directed to providing new installation structure of the auxiliary locking device of the hinged door capable of preventing the mutual interference of the driving plate and locking piston, even if the longitudinal installation range of the driving plate is overlapped with the operating range of the locking piston constituting the second locking tool.

SIDE LATCH EXIT DEVICE
20210388648 · 2021-12-16 ·

A latching device for a door includes an actuator, a first rod, a second rod, a transom latch, and a side latch having a hook latch head. The actuator may include a rod holder including a lockout configured to inhibit disengagement of a rod from the rod holder. The side latch may be a mortise latch which may include a channel configured to receive a nut for alignment during installation. When installed in an associated door, the latching device may withstand multiple impacts from windborne objects or pressures induced by high winds.
