Method and mechanism for controlling gravitational discharge of material from a railroad hopper car

A mechanism for conjointly operating a plurality of gate assemblies mounted on a hopper car having an elongated car body with sides and ends, and a bottom defining a discharge area comprised of a plurality of discharge openings. Each gate assembly includes a slide door arranged in operable association with one of the discharge openings. The mechanism operates the slide door on all the gates conjointly relative to each other. Methods for controlling the gravitational discharge of material from a hopper car are also disclosed.

Integrated Operating Apparatus for Different Type Gates

An embodiment integrated operating apparatus for different types of gates includes a driving motor, a main shaft rotatable by the driving motor, a first clutch portion at a first side of the main shaft and configured to selectively transmit power to a first gate of a vehicle, the first clutch portion including a first clutch and a first gear selectively engaged with each other, and a second clutch portion at a second side of the main shaft and configured to selectively transmit power to a second gate of the vehicle, the second clutch portion including a second clutch and a second gear selectively engaged with each other, wherein the first and second gates are configured to be independently operated based on the first clutch portion being in an engaged state or a released state and the second clutch portion being in the engaged state or the released state.

EMERGENCY RELEASE DEVICE FOR MANUALLY OPENING AND CLOSING A FOUR FOLD POWER DOOR SYSTEM
20190211606 · 2019-07-11 ·

A release for a power door system for actuating door panels between closed and opened positions. A linkage includes an operator arm telescopically supporting a push rod. A housing is secured to the operator arm. A pin extends through apertures in the arm and the push rod. A release cable extends from the housing and, in response to displacement, causes the pin to retract, permitting inter-telescoping motion of the push rod relative the operator arm, in turn permitting manual displacement of the doors. A compression spring supported within the housing influences the pin into engagement with the operator arm and push rod. A locking pin and guide is incorporated into a cable mounting guard below the spring pin, the locking pin displacing with the spring pin and preventing return displacement of the spring pin in response to a single pull retraction of the spring pin.

METHODS AND APPARATUS TO WIRELESSLY INTERLOCK DOORS

Methods and apparatus to wirelessly interlock doors are disclosed. A door system includes a user interface to receive interlock configuration data input from a user, the interlock configuration data to define an interlock condition to be satisfied before a first door is to undergo an operation, the interlock condition associated with a current state of a second door. The door system includes a first wireless transceiver to receive a signal from a second wireless transceiver associated with a second door. The method includes a door operation controller to at least one of (1) implement the operation of the first door in response to a request when the current state of the second door satisfies the interlock condition, (2) ignore the request, or (3) not execute the operation of the first door in response to the request when the current state of the second door does not satisfy the interlock condition.

Telescopic mechanism for opening/closing sliding doors

A telescopic mechanism and corresponding method for opening and closing sliding doors which allows obtaining a dimensional gain equal to the diameter of the pulleys including an intelligent control board, a motor, a system of pulley and belt linear guides which connect the panel A to Panel B, a lever system, arms, rotary union, shaft of rotation, which originate movements of extension and compression of a sliding structure comprising a chassis, Panel A and Panel B. The belt and pulley system includes a belt, a brake, wheels movable pulleys fixed to the chassis and static pulleys.

Means for securing against operating errors for leaves of a window or door that can be slid together

A fitting assembly has a device for securing against operating errors that has a first protrusion which can be moved relative to a second protrusion by means of a first operating rod assembly. A buffer can be provided between the end sides of the first protrusion and the second protrusion. The first protrusion can be a cylinder and/or the second protrusion can extend in an elongated manner. The fitting assembly can have an anti-lifting device with a third protrusion which prevents a lifting of the first leaf. The fitting assembly has multiple carriages and multiple sliders in order to position leaves of the window or the door into their slide position in parallel with the main plane of the window or the door. In the blocking position, the leaves can be pressed against a fixed frame of the window or the door via the fitting assembly with multiple carriages and multiple sliders, in order to reliably seal the window or the door.
