ELECTRIC LATCH RETRACTION WITH POWER INTERRUPT
An exemplary access control device includes a locking member having a locked position and an unlocked position; an electronic actuator operably connected with the locking member; a switch connected between the electronic actuator and a power supply, the switch having a closed state in which the electronic actuator is connected to the power supply and is operable to maintain the locking member in the unlocked position, the switch having an open state in which the electronic actuator is disconnected from the power supply; and a manual actuator operable to transition the switch between the open state and the closed state.
AIRCRAFT EMERGENCY DOOR AND METHOD OF OPERATING THE SAME
There is disclosed an emergency door positionable in an exit opening of an aircraft. The door has door supports mountable to the lower wall and each having a pivot point. A first pivot axis is defined between the pivot points. A block is mountable to the lower wall and is offset from a center of the lower wall. A door body is mountable within the opening to the door supporting structure and pivotally mountable to the door supports. The door body is pivotable about the first pivot axis from an initial position in which the door body is within the opening, until the door body is disengaged from the door supports. A bottom portion of the door body abuts against the block to define a removal pivot point. The door body is pivotable about the removal pivot point to remove the door body from the exit opening.
ROOF OPENING/CLOSING SYSTEM
To reduce or prevent erroneous recognition by a user concerning the roof operation of a convertible vehicle whose roof is adapted to be opened and closed. A roof opening/closing system of a convertible vehicle includes an opening/closing device for opening/closing the roof of the convertible vehicle; and a controller for determining, with respect to at least one of the opening and closing operations by the opening/closing device, whether to enable or disable the operation; and a notifying device for notifying a user whether the operation is enabled or disabled as determined by the controller. For example, in the case where the burning protection is turned off, following the determination based on the condition relevant to burning protection lift of prohibition of the roof operation is notified when other permitting conditions for the roof operation are fulfilled.
Sliding fire door
A sliding fire door is disclosed with an improved tightness of the closure by the door main body. The sliding fire door includes an opening frame, a fire door, and a guiding mechanism. The guiding mechanism includes a guide roller group which includes a plurality of guide rollers arranged one adjacent to another along the slide direction and which is configured to guide the door main body. The guiding mechanism is configured to guide the door main body such that the door main body is moved from an opening position to a closing position. The door main body has a first opposing surface which is oriented toward the wall. The opening frame has a second opposing surface which is oriented toward the first opposing surface of the door main body in the closing position. The guiding mechanism moves the door main body to cause the first opposing surface to be moved closer to the second opposing surface when the door main body is moved from the opening position to the closing position.
Movable latch housing apparatus
A movable latch housing apparatus and method of installation for enhancing security of a latch mechanism that has a channel with a linear drive that is removably engagable to a slidable engagement structure with a shoulder that is pivotally attached through an arm to a door for automated opening and closing, with a lever that can selectably disengage the slidable engagement structure from the linear drive to allow the door to open freely. The apparatus includes a base and a pair of opposing sidewalls each extending in a same direction perpendicular to and straddling the base and attach to the shoulder, the sidewalls extend beyond the base forming an open ended slot for arm movement. Wherein operationally, the base and the sidewalls shield the lever from unauthorized access to help prevent disengagement of the lever from the linear drive which would allow the door to be freely opened.
DOOR DRIVE SYSTEM
A door drive assembly including: a drive arm including a first end configured to be rotatably coupled to the body and a second end configured to be rotatably coupled to the door. The door drive assembly also includes a drive mechanism coupled to the drive arm and configured to rotate the drive arm between an open position and a closed position. The door drive assembly also includes a control arm including a first end configured to be rotatably coupled to a vehicle body and a second end configured to be rotatably coupled to the door. The door drive assembly also includes a race configured to be disposed between the body and the first end of the control arm where the first end of control arm is configured to translate by a first distance along the race as the drive arm rotates between the open and closed positions.
Mine ventilation door with wings and slidable or pocket personnel door
A personnel access door assembly of an opposing wing of a mine ventilation door. The personnel access door includes a frame including a top portion, a bottom portion, a first post portion and a second post portion, the top frame portion and the bottom frame portion coupled to respective top and bottom ends of the first post and second post portions. The personnel access door further includes sets of trolley wheels affixed to the top or bottom of the frame to engage a top rail or bottom rail affixed on the opposing wing.
DOOR SYSTEM HAVING A SWING INTERLOCK SYSTEM
A door system includes a header having a guide rail that has a central portion having a notch. A panel hanger is slidably coupled to the header. A door panel has a handle end portion releasably coupled to the panel hanger and a pivot end portion pivotably coupled to the panel hanger. The panel hanger and the door panel slide in unison between a closed position and a fully open position along a longitudinal plane. An interlock plate is positioned to extend upwardly from the door panel, and has a downwardly extending guide slot that slidably receives the guide rail of the header. When the door panel is in the fully open position, the interlock plate is aligned with the notch of the guide rail of the header in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal plane to facilitate a pivoting of the door panel away from the longitudinal plane.
HINGE ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE HOOD
A hinge assembly for a hood of a vehicle is provided. The hinge assembly includes a body member and a hood member. The hood member is pivotally coupled with the body member through a pivot pin. The hood member or the body member partially wraps around the pivot pin such that the hood member or the body member defines a notch. The hood member or the body member is adapted to disengage from the pivot pin on application of an impact force on the hood member.
AUTOMATIC DOOR OPERATOR FOR A SWING DOOR ASSEMBLY
An automatic door operator (30) for a swing door assembly (10) having a door leaf (14) rotationally supported by a door frame (12) is disclosed. The automatic door operator has a motor (34) for causing opening of the door leaf (14) with respect to the door frame (12), and a controller (31) being configured for performing different functions (60) of the automatic door operator. The controller (31) is configured to detect (42) a movement of the door leaf (14), not caused by the motor (34), identify (44) a predefined movement matching the detected movement, determine (46), among the different functions, a function (61-A, 61-B) being associated with the predefined movement, and perform (48) the determined function.
