THERMAL BREAK SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DOORS AND WINDOWS
A door assembly providing a door frame including an inside steel panel having an inner surface and an outer surface, and a C-shaped section extending about a periphery thereof with a portion of the C-shaped section extending in part parallel to the inner surface of the inside steel panel; an outside steel panel having an inner surface and an outer surface, and a C-shaped section extending about a periphery thereof with a portion of the C-shaped section extending in part parallel to the inner surface of the outside steel panel; an insulating material interposed between respective C-shaped sections of the inside steel panel and the outside steel panel to thermally isolate the inside steel panel and the outside steel panel from each other, and said inside steel panel and outside steel panel being secured together at respective C-shaped sections to form the thermal break system.
Door bottom system for an entryway system
A door bottom system is used with an entryway system having a door panel movable between open and closed positions. The door bottom system includes a door sweep movable with the door panel between first and second positions corresponding with the open and closed positions, respectively. The door bottom system includes a threshold assembly including a sill that defines a channel adapted for accepting a fluid. The threshold assembly includes a seal extending downwardly toward the sill to a distal end and movable between initial and sealed positions. The door sweep selectively engages and moves the seal from the initial position in the first position to the sealed position in the second position. The seal extends over and covers the channel in the initial position. The seal at least partially uncovers the channel in the sealed position such that the distal end of the seal is positioned above the channel.

AWNING WINDOW ASSEMBLY HAVING A DOUBLE HUNG APPEARANCE
A window assembly having a first sash and a second sash mounted to a window frame, the first and second sashes arranged along different vertical planes within the window frame to resemble the appearance of a double hung window. The window assembly further includes a hinge mechanism coupled to the window frame and to the second sash, hinge mechanism operable to guide the second sash away from the first sash to accommodate an outwardly swinging motion of the second sash in a similar fashion as a conventional awning window. The first sash may be fixed relative to the window frame, or may alternatively be moveable upwardly or downwardly relative to the window frame.
Weather seal system for double hung windows
A window includes a weather seal system that employs two seals. The first seal is located towards an exterior surface of the window and forms an air-permeable water barrier between an active sash and a sill. The second seal is located towards an interior surface of the window and forms a substantially air-impermeable and water-impermeable barrier between the active sash and the sill.
SHOWER THRESHOLD AND METHODS OF IMPLEMENTATION
A shower threshold and a method of implementing a shower threshold are disclosed. The shower threshold includes an elongated base component having one or more sidewalls extending from a base region of the elongated base component to an apex of the elongated base portion. The shower threshold also includes a flexible cap coupled to and extending from the elongated base component along the apex of the elongated base component. The flexible cap may be composed of a plurality of layers. The plurality of layers includes a core layer and a shell layer. The core layer is composed of a material that is softer than the shell layer.

PORTABLE BARRIER FOR A DOOR SILL
A portable barrier for a door sill fills a gap between the flooring and the bottom of a respective door to restrict passage of water, air, and pests. The barrier detachably mounts into a door sill on an exterior side of the door. The barrier is height adjustable, so as to enable the dual function of inhibiting passage through the gap beneath the door, and enabling passage of a wheeled vehicle over the barrier. A restriction bar provides the barrier function. The restriction bar has a tapered edge to enable a wheel to roll over it. A mount bar is disposed parallel to the restriction bar for mounting to the flooring. A spring biases the restriction bar towards an extended position for expanding above the door sill. The spring compresses to enable the restriction bar to move towards the mount bar. A bolt passes through and aligns the components.

Water evacuation system for façade systems
A water evacuation system includes a sill providing a dam that defines one or more drain ports, an accumulation chamber defined within the interior of the sill and in fluid communication with the dam via the one or more drain ports, and one or more discharge ports defined in a front face of the sill and in fluid communication with the accumulation chamber. An internal ramp is arranged within the accumulation chamber and includes an angled upper surface directed toward the one or more discharge ports to urge water to the discharge ports. Alternatively, or in addition thereto, a pump is in fluid communication with the sill and a float switch is secured to the sill to send a signal to operate the pump when water accumulating in the sill reaches a predetermined level for evacuation.
