MODULAR STORM SHELTER
The invention relates to a device for protecting building façades and/or building openings, thus for protecting windows and/or doors or the like, from storm conditions. A flat cover is provided comprising peripheral narrow surfaces with a peripheral frame element in the form of a profiled section.
The frame element is arranged in a peripheral manner about the flat cover along the narrow surfaces thereof. The arrangement about the flat cover along the narrow surfaces is carried out in segments or sub-elements. The individual sub-elements are fixed against one another and/or to one another by a wide variety of securing means which are not specified in greater detail. In the process, at least one of the sub-elements and/or the flat cover has devices for securing on or against another surface. The device is thus suitable for installing on building façades and/or in front of building openings.
Expandable barrier with matching panels and corner pet door
A barrier for a home is disclosed. The barrier includes two portions that are quickly slideable relative to each other to take expanded and contracted forms. The barrier includes a metal frame and wood panels engaged in the metal frame. Each of the two portions includes at least one wood panel such that, when the barrier portions are slid to and away from each other, the wood panels slide to and away from each other. The barrier includes a corner pet door that opens in the expanded or contracted forms.

Screen device
There is provided a screen guide that engages a support rail or is detachable from the support rail at an intermediate position on the support rail. The support rail supports the screen guide and includes first and second engagement edges, and the screen guide is formed by connecting a plurality of guide pieces to one another in series. Each of the guide pieces includes a piece body that engages an end portion of a screen and an engagement member that includes first and second engagement portions that engage the first and second engagement edges of the support rail, respectively. Each of the engagement members is coupled to the corresponding piece body such that the engagement member is capable of being displaced to a first position at which the first and second engagement portions engage the first and second engagement edges, respectively, and to a second, detached position.

Storm protection system
A storm protection system for a window or door unit located in a wall opening and having an outer frame, the system including at least one protective panel fit within the outer frame and wall opening, at least one pair of brackets connected to the outer frame at opposing sides of the wall opening and spaced from the front surface of the panel a first distance, at least one force distribution body with at least one alignment structure on the front surface and spaced from the rear surface a second distance that is greater than the first distance, at least one elongated flexible restraint extending between and connected to the at least two brackets is received by the alignment structure and when tensioned forces the at least one force distribution body against the at least one panel which forces the at least one panel against the window or door unit.
Passage Barrier
A passage barrier includes a frame and a gate engaged in the frame. The four corners of the frame are provided with mounting holes for receiving pressurized fasteners. An adjustment member can be rotated on a rod of the pressurized fastener. The mounting hole and the rod are designed so that the rod can only slide in the mounting hole but cannot rotate. In the installation process, a user is reminded not to press the frame on both sides of the passage by rotating the rod of the pressurized fastener, but to press the frame on both sides of the passage by rotating the adjustment member, so that the user can quickly find the correct the installation method.
PRIVACY SYSTEM FOR SLIDING DOORS
A privacy system for sliding doors that that has an upper privacy assembly and side privacy assemblies for coving gaps between a sliding door and walls and/or door frames of a door opening. The upper privacy assembly has a first upper member on a door and a second upper member on a wall or frame, and the first upper member will slide with respect to the second upper member when the sliding door moves. The one or more side privacy assemblies has a first side member on the door and a second side member on the wall and/or door frame that engage and disengage. When the sliding door is in the closed position, the engagement between the first upper member and the second upper member, and the first side members and second side members, aid in restricting light from passing through gaps between the door and wall and/or frame.
