Safety mechanical barrier and system for above-ground pool ladders
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to a safety mechanical system including a latter and a barrier for use with a an above-ground swimming pool that is easy to install and provides safety from children accessing the pool via the ladder. Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to a safety mechanical barrier that blocks access to the ladder itself, thereby restricting access to an above-ground pool by unsupervised minors.
Integrated safety rail protection system
A safety rail protection system disclosed herein is adaptable to be positioned adjacent to a portal. The system may include a hinged gate having an opening and first and second opposing members, with the hinged gate being operable to open from a closed position to an open position. A first side rail may be present, and may include a first side gate projection extending at least partially into the hinged gate opening, with the first side rail interfacing with at least one of the first and second opposing members when the hinged gate is in the closed position. A second side rail may be present, and may include a second side gate projection extending at least partially into the hinged gate opening when the hinged gate is in the closed position.
SWIMMING POOL LADDER WITH SAFETY GATE
The present disclosure provides a pool ladder with an active protection mechanism. The ladder provides a switch positioned at a significant height from the ground such that children cannot easily reach the switch. When actuated, the switch unlocks a protective door for the ladder and the ladder can be moved to access the steps. As such, the ladder can effectively prevent children from unlocking the protective door and accessing the pool.
WALKTHROUGH AND STANDOFF MECHANISMS FOR LADDERS, LADDERS INCORPORATING SAME AND RELATED METHODS
A ladder and ladder accessory are provided including an accessory that may be coupled to the ladder in multiple configurations and serve multiple purposes. In one embodiment, a pair of components are each selectively coupled with associated rails of a ladder in a first, stored state, and a second, walkthrough state. When in the walkthrough state, the components extend upwards from and above the rails so that a user may gasp the components and step between the components when transitioning from the ladder to an elevated surface (e.g., a roof) or vice versa. In another embodiment, the components may be coupled to the ladder such that they extend in a direction that is substantially transverse to a plane through which the rails extend. When in this transverse orientation, the components may be used as a stand-off device.
FIXED SERVICE LADDER
A fixed service ladder that has: a body attachable to a building; rungs attachable to the body as ladder steps; and side rails. The fixed service ladder has a use configuration, in which the fixed service ladder is in its use configuration, and for implementing a climbing hindrance, a retracted configuration, in which the rungs are turned closer to each other and to an angle differing from horizontal. The body has for each rung a first joint to which the rung joins allowing vertical pivoting; and for at least two different rungs restraints restraining said rungs in the use configuration. The rungs have second joints for pivotable joining with the side rails outside the body.

DOOR FOR VEHICLE STEPS
A cover is provided to protect steps leading to a cab of a vehicle from accumulation of mud, snow, ice and other debris when the vehicle is driven. The cover is pivotally mounted for movement between an open position allowing a vehicle operator to climb the steps and a closed position covering the steps from top to bottom to maintain cleanliness of the steps as the vehicle is driven. The cover can be opened and closed from the top of the steps, either manually or with an actuator. The cover is normally closed when the vehicle is moving and open when the vehicle is stationary.
SWIMMING POOL LADDER WITH AUTOMATIC LIFT MECHANISM
The present disclosure provides a ladder which selectively allows or prevents user access to the ladder steps, such that the ladder can only be climbed when such access is allowed. For example, the ladder may only selectively allow ingress into a bathing enclosure, e.g., when operated by an adult, but may allow egress from the bathing enclosure by any user. The ladder includes an elevator that is movable between a safety configuration, in which ingress is prevented or inhibited but egress is permitted, and a ladder configuration, in which both ingress and egress are permitted.
