Flushing system in drill bits
A flushing system in a drill bit, which has a body that defines the flushing system, can include an inlet to facilitate supply of pressurized fluids into a bore hole. A cutting surface of the drill bit is provided with a main opening that defines a main passageway in communication with the inlet. A peripheral surface of the drill bit is provided with a secondary opening that defines a secondary passageway in communication with the inlet. The secondary passageway is disposed at an angle from a horizontal reference plane. The horizontal reference plane is defined between the inlet and the origin of the main passageway and is perpendicular to a central longitudinal axis of the body of the drill bit. An origin of the secondary passageway is at a distance from the origin of the main passageway.

A DRILL
A drill comprising a drill bit comprising a first drill part and a second drill part configured to slide relative to each other, wherein the first and second drill parts are pivotally coupled at one end to a first member and a second member respectively; a cam engaged with the first member and the second member, wherein the first and second members act as followers to slide the parts of the drill bit in a reciprocating motion with respect to each other, between a retracted and an extended position; and a wedge comprising a first angled surface engaged with the first member and a second angled surface engaged with the second member, the wedge configured to urge the drill bit to pivot in a first direction when the first member is moved towards the retracted position and to pivot in a second direction when the second member is moved towards the retracted position.

FLUSHING AND CONNECTION ARRANGEMENTS FOR PERCUSSION DRILL TOOLS
The present invention relates to a fluid-operated percussion drill tool comprising an outer wear sleeve comprising a substantially cylindrical wall and having inner and outer surfaces. The tool also comprises a percussion bit having a head portion and a bit retaining portion and located at a forward end of the outer wear sleeve. The tool further comprises a sliding piston mounted for reciprocating movement within the outer wear sleeve to strike the percussion bit. The tool also includes a drive ring having a substantially cylindrical wall and comprising connection means adapted for connecting the drive ring to a drive means of the fluid-operated percussion drill tool. At least one flushing channel provides a fluid path to the cutting face of the bit for a flushing medium. A first portion of the at least one flushing channel extends longitudinally within the wall of the wear sleeve, a second portion of the at least one flushing channel extends longitudinally within the wall of the drive ring and a third portion of the at least one flushing channel extends through the head portion of the percussion bit to the cutting face of the bit.
