Downhole Conveyance Line Cutter
A downhole conveyance line cutter operable to be conveyed downhole within a wellbore along a conveyance line that conveys a tool string within the wellbore, connect to the conveyance line, and cut the conveyance line. The downhole conveyance line cutter may comprise a body, a cutting member operable to cut the conveyance line, and a nose section configured to contact an upper end of the tool string when the downhole tool reaches the tool string. The nose section may comprise an outer diameter that is larger than an outer diameter of the body. The nose section may comprise a contact surface configured to contact the upper end of the tool string when the downhole tool reaches the tool string. The contact surface may be a concave surface configured to accommodate at least a portion of the upper end of the tool string.
Dissolvable downhole connect tool
A drill string connect tool comprises a housing having first and second sections. The first section has a first recess, and the second section has a second recess. The tool and the first and sections may be in a connected configuration or a disconnected configuration. The connect tool comprises at least one tension member placeable within, and suitable to transfer tensile forces between, the first and second sections when in the connected configuration. A retaining member can retain the tension member within the first and second recesses. The retaining member is selectively dissolvable by a dissolving fluid, while the remaining components of the tool can withstand the dissolving fluid. When exposed to a dissolving fluid, the retaining member dissolves, allowing the tension member to exit the first and second recesses, thereby actuating the tool to the disconnected configuration.
Wired pipe with telemetry adapter
A telemetry tool assembly for exploiting subsurface fluids and minerals through well construction and production. The assembly comprises a tube comprising a bore and a bore wall and first end and a second end. The respective ends each comprise internal and external upset portions welded to a pin end tool joint or box end tool joint, respectively. The upset portions comprise an internal and external conical transition section intermediate the respective tool joints and the tube. The external conical transition section comprises at least one socket comprising a removeable cover and side and bottom surfaces within the external conical transition section. The socket and cover comprise a seal between the cover and socket side walls. A telemetry adapter comprising electrical equipment is disposed within the one or more sockets and the assembly comprises a wired drill pipe (WDP). The socket surfaces comprise a hardness greater than the transition section.
DOWNHOLE APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR ELECTRIC-BASED FRACTURING
Downhole tools, systems, and methods for electric-based fracturing are disclosed. A downhole tool for electric-based fracturing may include an outer enclosure, an insulator chamber disposed at least partially within the enclosure, and an electrode disposed at least partially within the insulator chamber. The electrode may extend out from the insulator chamber and the enclosure, and may be configured to transfer electric energy to an exterior environment surrounding the downhole tool. The insulator chamber may be configured to thermally and electrically insulate at least a portion of the electrode from the exterior environment.
ALIGNMENT SUB AND PERFORATING GUN ASSEMBLY WITH ALIGNMENT SUB
A perforating gun assembly may include a first perforating gun housing, a first shaped charge provided within the first perforating gun housing, and an alignment sub coupled to the first perforating gun housing. The alignment sub may include a first sub body and a second sub body rotatably coupled to the first sub body.
A TELEMETRY TOOL JOINT
A telemetry tool joint may comprise a tool joint body adapted for connection to a downhole tubular as part of a tool string. The tubular may be a drill pipe or a downhole tool such as a drill bit or component of a bottom hole assembly. The tool joint body may comprise an axial bore comprising a bore wall having an interior wall surface and a tapered outer wall surface. The tapered outer bore wall surface may comprise a first continuous thread form having multiple turns comprising a first thread start and a first thread end and a second continuous thread form having multiple turns comprising a second thread start and a second thread end. The respective thread forms may be separated by a gap along the tapered outer bore wall surface. The gap may comprise one or more annular recesses adapted for housing a radially oriented inductive coupler.
TUBE WIRE ANCHOR AND METHOD OF OPERATING THE SAME
An apparatus and downhole tool having a releasable locking mechanism for holding a line reliably connected to a tool in a wellbore for providing communication with and/or power to the tool, the releasable locking mechanism has: a movable holding device that can be in a locked state for holding the line reliably connected to the downhole tool or in a released state for allowing release of the line from the tool; and a movable locking device that can be in a locking state wherein the movable locking device engages with the movable holding device in a manner that restricts movement of the movable holding device, thereby locking the movable holding device in its locked state, or that can be in a releasing state for releasing the movable holding device to its released state.
Apparatus and method for electromechanically connecting a plurality of guns for well perforation
A perforation gun having a modified pin end for positioning a blast shield between adjacent guns, the blast shield electrically joining movable contact pins and propagating firing signals between while protecting against blast forces from previous explosions. The perforation guns also having a wiring port in the charge carrier and alignment pin for opening and adding detonation circuitry at time of use, positioned within the charge carrier where it is protected from damages caused by rough handling, flooding, vibrations, and blast forces.
Power connector with spring-biased elastomeric conductor seal for submersible pump
An electrical power connector for an electrical submersible well pump motor has a housing having a bore. A pair of rigid insulators are within the bore of the housing, each of the insulators having a cylindrical outward-facing side that is in contact with an inward-facing side wall of the housing. A resilient elastomer seal is sandwiched between the insulators in sealing engagement with the inward-facing side wall. Passages extend through each of the insulators and the elastomer seal for receiving insulated conductors of a power cable. A spring in abutment with one of the insulators exerts an axial compressive force on the elastomer seal.
GOOSENECK CONNECTOR SYSTEM
A gooseneck conduit assembly includes a gooseneck conduit including a vertically-extending portion, an upset formed on the vertically-extending portion, an alignment key extending laterally from the vertically-extending portion, and a lower coupling at a lower end of the vertically-extending portion; a second conduit configured to connect to an auxiliary fluid line connected to and extending along a riser string that extends to a subsea wellhead, the second conduit including a receiving end configured to form a connection with the lower coupling; and a frame configured to be connected to the riser string. The frame includes an upper bracket vertically offset from a lower bracket to which the second conduit is secured, an alignment groove configured to slidably receive the alignment key so as to maintain a coaxial alignment between the vertically-extending portion of the gooseneck conduit and the second conduit, and a locking member pivotally coupled to the upper bracket.
