SAFETY VALVE HANDLING APPARATUS FOR A WELL OPERATION RIG

A safety valve handling apparatus for a well operation rig includes: a mounting structure for connection to the rig; a clamp for engaging a safety valve and configured to permit rotation of the safety valve within the clamp while the safety valve remains engaged by the clamp; and an arm connected between the mounting structure and the clamp, the arm being movable and adjustable to permit movement of the clamp relative to the mounting structure. The safety valve handling apparatus can be used for controlled safety valve handling on a well operation rig, even one oriented for a slanted operation.

UNDERGROUND DRILLING RIG AND METHOD FOR ERECTING SAME
20220307373 · 2022-09-29 ·

The Invention relates to an underground drilling rig (10) and a method for its erection, wherein the method, in a special embodiment, comprises erecting a mast structure (20) of the drilling rig (10) extending from a horizontal tunnel (production tunnel) into a vertical mast shaft (14) and by means of an erecting structure (50), wherein the mast structure (20) comprises a plurality of mast segments (60) connected to one another or connectable to one another.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR REPLACING CABLE OR WIRE IN A HOISTING SYSTEM
20170225929 · 2017-08-10 · ·

A method for replacing a length of a wire/cable in a hoisting system. The wire/cable extends from a storage drum to a winch. The method includes removing at least one lock which prevents a deadline anchor arranged between the storage drum and the winch from rotating, reeling onto the storage drum a first length of the wire/cable with a simultaneous coordinated operation of the deadline anchor and the storage drum, the simultaneous coordinated operation being controlled so that the wire/cable is in a continuous tension between the deadline anchor and the storage drum, securing the wire/cable to an attachment point, cutting a section of the wire/cable between the attachment point and the winch and removing the cut section of the wire/cable, reattaching the wire/cable remaining to the winch, reeling out a second length of the wire/cable from the storage drum, and securing the wire/cable to the deadline anchor.

Device and Method for Supporting a Becket of a Travelling Block when Opened to Connect or Disconnect an Item
20170226804 · 2017-08-10 ·

A device for supporting a becket of a travelling block features a bar whose longitudinal dimension exceeds a distance between a first pair of support legs by which one end of the becket is pivotally supported on the travelling block. The bar is abutted against the first support legs from a side thereof facing a second pair of support legs, to which the second end of the becket is coupled when the becket is closed. A sling is connected to the bar via a connection lies intermediately of the bar's ends so as to reside between the first support legs. The sling is wrapped under the becket to an opposing side of the second pair of support legs, where a lifting cable is connected to the sling. Under tension from the lifting cable, the sling snugly cradles an underside of the becket to support same during opening of the becket.

Automated Modular Wellhead Mounted Wireline For Unmanned Extended Real Time Data Monitoring

A system for communicating downhole measurements may comprise a remote wireline system connected to a wellhead. The remote wirelines system may further comprise a base support, a spool frame attached to the base support, a spool attached to the spool frame and a conveyance attached to the spool, an acoustic receiver node attached at a second end of the conveyance, a control box attached to the base support and connected to the spool, and a communication device disposed in the control box. A method for communicating downhole measurements may comprise attaching a remote wireline system to a wellhead, lowering the acoustic receiver node through one or more production tubing sections to a heel of a wellbore, communicating with one or more nodes, and transmitting one or more data packets uphole from the one or more nodes to the acoustic receiver node.

Method and apparatus for stabbing of pipe and other tubular goods

Swivel stand apparatus and associated equipment

A swivel stand apparatus includes a swivel tower and a swivel mounting frame to which the swivel tower preferably removably attaches using locking members. Non-wheeled friction reducing sliders preferably form an interface between the swivel mounting frame and the frame. The flanged beams are part of a basket which can receive and connect to either a jack base or a flange base. The basket can have legs of different lengths to allow connection of the basket to the bases in only one orientation to prevent incorrect connection of the basket to the base. The basket preferably includes specially configured pipe racks for holding vertically positioned pipe or pipe joints. The jack base preferably includes multiple legs to connect to legs of the basket, and two legs to contact and support the basket without necessarily being mechanically interlocked thereto.
