A plugging device for use in multistage fracturing a subterranean formation. The plugging device includes a plug body having a distal end, a proximate end, and an outer surface. There are a plurality of grooves disposed on the outer surface, and an index sleeve movingly disposed on the outer surface, the index sleeve configured to engage the plurality of grooves. The index is incrementable with respect to the plurality of grooves from the distal end toward the proximate end.

Downhole tool actuators and indexing mechanisms

A downhole tool control apparatus includes a control assembly, a stroking assembly, and a pocket sleeve positioned in an outer sub. The control assembly and stroking assembly are independently slidable axially within the outer sub. The control assembly and stroking assembly slide depending on the flow rate of fluid through the downhole tool actuator. The stroking assembly includes a spline barrel having a spline projection positioned within a spline pocket formed in the pocket sleeve. The pocket sleeve and control assembly include one or more ratchet teeth positioned in the pocket sleeve such that as the flow rate is changed between a high and a low flow rate, the spline projection engages the ratchet teeth until an actuated cycle is completed, allowing the downhole tool actuator to move to an actuation position.

Exercise Tool

An apparatus and method for creating axial movement of an inner sliding sleeve member on a tool in a downhole environment. The apparatus has keys which mate in a profile on the inner sliding sleeve member, the keys being held in a carrier on a sleeve around an inner mandrel. The inner mandrel includes stops and a lip which can be slid over the keys to retract them for release from the inner sliding sleeve member. By picking up and shifting down the mandrel relative to the sleeve, the apparatus is cycled to jar up, jar down and release. An exercise tool to release a stuck flow tube of a subsurface safety valve is described.

MULTI-STAGE OBJECT DROP FRAC ASSEMBLY WITH FILTRATION MEDIA AND METHOD

A multi-stage object drop frac assembly including a fracture subassembly configured for disposal in a well zone, a plurality of filtration media stages configured for disposal in the same well zone, and a plurality of valves, one of the plurality of valves being associated with each of the plurality of filtration media stages the plurality of valves openable simultaneously in response to a same event.

Remote-open device for well operation

An assembly includes a housing of a production tubing including one or more housing ports around a housing circumference of the housing. The assembly also includes a sleeve including one or more sleeve ports around a sleeve circumference of the sleeve. The sleeve is moveable between a closed configuration in which at least a portion of the sleeve is positionable to cover the housing ports of the production tubing and an open configuration in which the sleeve is positionable such that the sleeve ports provide fluid communication between the production tubing and an annulus in a wellbore. Further, the assembly includes a shoulder positioned at an uphole edge of the sleeve to apply an opening force to the sleeve to change the sleeve from the closed configuration to the open configuration.

Systems And Methods For Multi-Stage Fracturing

A downhole system for multistage fracturing having a first cluster of valves, and a second cluster of valves downhole from the first cluster. Each of the first and second cluster of valves has a frac valve. At least one of the first and the second cluster of valves has a flex valve. A single plugging device is used to open all of the valves in the second cluster, but leaves all valves in the first cluster closed.

REDUCING FRICTION IN A DRILL STRING AND CLEANING A WELLBORE
20220090450 · 2022-03-24 ·

A drilling assembly includes a drill string configured to be disposed within a wellbore. The drilling assembly also includes a sub fluidically coupled to the drill string. The sub includes a mandrel fixed to the drill string and defines an external helically undulated surface and a bore configured to flow drilling fluid received from the drill string. The sub includes a sleeve rotationally coupled to and disposed outside the mandrel. The sleeve has an internal helically undulated surface corresponding with the external helically undulated surface of the mandrel to form, with the mandrel, a progressive cavity. The progressive cavity receives fluid from the bore of the mandrel to rotate the sleeve as the drilling fluid flows along the cavity. The sub also includes a valve configured to regulate a flow of the drilling fluid along the bore to direct fluid toward or away from the progressive cavity.

SELF-ORIENTING SELECTIVE LOCKABLE ASSEMBLY TO REGULATE SUBSURFACE DEPTH AND POSITIONING

A well tool to be oriented and secured in a wellbore without the external application of torque, and a well system incorporating the same. After installation of orientation casing and universal latch coupling casing, the self-orienting selective lockable latch well tool is run downhole to the target depth, picked up to free the internal locking mechanism, and then loaded with downhole stress to engage the locking mechanism.

Downhole Tool

A downhole tool includes a housing; a first piston arranged within the housing such that it can move axially under the action of fluid flowing through the tool; and an indexer configured to control axial movement of the first piston between a first, second and third axial position. The indexer is configured such that the first piston can be selectively moved into the third position in accordance with a variation of a flow of fluid through the tool. A second piston is movable between a closed position in which fluid flowing through the tool is restricted from communicating with an activation chamber and an open position in which fluid flowing through the tool is permitted to communicate with the activation chamber; wherein the second piston is configured to move between the closed position and the open position in response to the first piston moving to the third axial position.
