Setting tool for a liner hanger
A liner string includes a liner hanger assembly and a liner hanger deployment assembly. The liner hanger assembly includes a liner hanger. The liner hanger includes a plurality of slips and a liner hanger actuation assembly configured to set the plurality of slips. The liner hanger deployment assembly is disposed within the liner hanger assembly. The liner hanger deployment assembly includes a setting tool configured to selectively allow fluid communication between a central bore of the setting tool and the liner hanger actuation assembly.
Well packers
A packer for wells can include a body having a tubular shape, a sealing element having an upward end and a downward end and disposed around the body. The packer also includes a first prop upward of the sealing element, and a second prop downward of the sealing element. The first prop is configured to wedge under the upward end of the sealing element and the second prop is configured to wedge under the downward end of the sealing element to push the sealing element outward at both the upward end and the downward end.

Hydraulically set liner top packer
A liner and a method of setting the liner. The liner includes an outer tubular member, a hydraulic actuator on an outer surface of the outer tubular member for hydraulically setting a packer of the liner, and a hydraulic channel for directing fluid through the outer tubular member and into the hydraulic actuator to set the packer. The hydraulic channel has a first port at an inner surface of the outer tubular member and a second port at the outer surface of the outer tubular member at an axial location of the hydraulic actuator. The first port is at a different axial location of the outer tubular member than the second port. A fluid is pumped through the hydraulic channel into the hydraulic actuator to set the packer.
Non-expanding liner hanger
Methods and apparatus for positioning a non-expandable liner hanger in a wellbore. A liner is coupled to the liner hanger, wherein the liner hanger comprises: a conduit body; and a reactive metal sealing element disposed on the conduit body, wherein the reactive metal sealing element comprises a reactive metal having a first volume. An example method includes contacting the reactive metal with a fluid that reacts with the reactive metal to produce a reaction product having a second volume greater than the first volume; and contacting a surface adjacent to the reactive metal sealing element with the reaction product to form a seal against the surface and to anchor the liner hanger from the surface, wherein anchoring the liner hanger to the surface suspends the liner in the wellbore.
Electrically-actuated resettable downhole anchor and/or packer, and method of setting, releasing, and resetting
An electric motor-actuated packer and/or anchor (EMAP/A) apparatus and method for use in downhole operations. The apparatus includes a packer subassembly and/or a slip subassembly and can be: set in a packer and anchor mode; set in an anchor-only mode without energizing the packer elements; repeatedly set and unset without run-in string manipulation; run in a multiple, or redundant, configuration within a given tool string, with each EMAP/A apparatus capable of being set/unset independently of the others; and combined within a tool string in a straddle packer configuration, with inverted and non-inverted EMAP/As providing the ability to isolate an interval of interest from both above and below the interval. Among other uses, the apparatus and method are well suited for application in a single-trip, e-coil conveyed completion system, and particularly one providing for radial hydraulic jetting.

High-expansion well sealing using seal seat extender
A sealing tool, system and method for sealing a wellbore achieves increased expansion with the use of a seal seat extender. In one example, a seal seat (e.g., a ball seat) defines an axial flow bore in fluid communication with the wellbore to be sealed, a sealing profile for receiving a loose sealing element (e.g., a ball or dart) to close the axial flow bore, and a tapered outer profile. The seal seat extender is initially disposed against the seal seat and is expandable against the seal seat in response to an axial setting force, such as by sliding up the tapered outer profile of the seal seat and/or buckling outwardly, in response to a setting force. A compliant annular packing element disposed against the seal seat extender is deformable outwardly into sealing engagement with the wellbore in response to the axial setting force.

DOWNHOLE TOOL AND METHOD OF USE
A method of using a downhole tool that includes the step of operating a workstring to run the downhole tool into a wellbore to a desired position. The downhole tool includes a mandrel having a proximate end with a first outer diameter; a distal end with a second outer diameter; a flowbore; and an inner set of shear threads disposed in the flowbore at the proximate end.
