Fluid flow control during well treatment
A method of treating a subterranean well can include positioning a flow restrictor in a wellbore that penetrates an interval of an earth formation, displacing the flow restrictor along the wellbore away from a surface of the well, preventing longitudinal displacement of the flow restrictor in the wellbore, introducing flow into a first section of the interval from a section of the wellbore between the flow restrictor and the surface, blocking the flow from the wellbore section into the first interval section, permitting longitudinal displacement of the flow restrictor in the wellbore, and displacing the flow restrictor along the wellbore away from the surface of the well, thereby permitting unrestricted flow from the wellbore section into a second section of the interval. The second interval section is farther along the wellbore from the surface than the first interval section.
Method and apparatus for positioning of injector heads and other intervention equipment
A dual-open entry injector head positioning system installed on support structures, such as conventional lifting frames, utilized over wells on offshore vessels. The injector head positioning system is lighter and more compact than conventional equipment positioning systems, while permitting simultaneous deployment of multiple intervention systems (such as, for example, continuous tubing and wireline) from said lifting frame.
Advanced rapid logging system
A logging system for a tubular includes: a rail system comprising a plurality of rails and mounted to a surface of the tubular; a logging tool carrier connected to the rail system; and a logging tool disposed on the logging tool carrier. The logging tool is deployed on the logging tool carrier connected to the rail system along the tubular to a targeted position along the tubular and then retrieved from the wellbore. During deployment of the logging tool, the logging tool acquires a plurality of logging data.
Automated pump-down
An apparatus and method for performing automated pump-down operations. An apparatus may include a control system configured to be communicatively connected with a fluid pump disposed at a wellsite surface and with a conveyance device disposed at the wellsite surface. The control system may be operable to cause the conveyance device to unwind a conveyance line connected with a tool string disposed within a wellbore, and cause the fluid pump to pump a fluid into the wellbore such that the fluid moves the tool string along the wellbore while the conveyance device unwinds the conveyance line.
Downhole tractor control systems and methods to adjust a load of a downhole motor
Downhole tractor control systems and methods to adjust a load of a downhole motor to drive one or more wheels of the downhole tractor are disclosed. A method to adjust a load of a downhole motor includes receiving a user input of a desired speed and torque for a plurality of motors, where the plurality of motors powering rotation of wheels of a downhole tractor. The method also includes determining a minimum actual motor speed of the plurality of motors. For at least one motor of the plurality of motors, the method includes determining a power controller output and determining a torque controller output. The method further includes adjusting a voltage source invertor based on a lesser of the power controller output and the torque controller output to modulate voltage provided to the at least one motor.

SELF-ERECTING LAUNCHER ASSEMBLY
A self-erecting launcher assembly includes a mobile unit, and a magazine positioned in a receptacle of the mobile unit. The magazine includes a plurality of drones. A rail unit is secured to the mobile unit and moves between a closed position and an elevated position. A platform may be secured to the rail unit and is movable in an upward direction and a downward direction along a length of the rail unit. The platform is movable when the rail unit is in its elevated position. The magazine or the plurality of drones may be positioned on the platform, such that the platform moves the magazine or the plurality of drones from the mobile unit to at least one wellhead. A manipulator arm is secured to the platform and selects a drone of the plurality of drones and delivers the selected drone into a lubricator positioned at the wellhead.
Downhole cable deployment
A method of deploying a flexible cable in a wellbore includes carrying, by a tubular assembly, a cable spool cartridge into the wellbore. The cable spool cartridge is attached to an exterior of the tubular assembly and contains the flexible cable. A first end of the flexible cable is attached to a buoyancy device, and the buoyancy device is releasably attached to the cable spool cartridge. A fluid is flowed by the tubular assembly in a downhole direction through an interior of the tubular assembly and in an uphole direction within an annulus at least partially defined by the exterior of the tubular assembly. The fluid has a greater density than the buoyancy device. The buoyancy device is released by the cable spool cartridge, and the buoyancy device is configured to travel after release in the uphole direction with the fluid and thereby pull the flexible cable from the cable spool cartridge and into the annulus.
