CORROSION INHIBITING ACID MIXTURE CONTAINING MONOAMINE / DIAMINE AND METHOD OF INHIBITING CORROSION IN ACID TREATMENT
An acid mixture includes hydrochloric acid, a monoamine corrosion inhibitor, and at least one of a diamine corrosion inhibitor and an acid additive. A method for inhibiting corrosion in an acid treatment operation includes introducing an acid mixture comprising hydrochloric acid and a monoamine corrosion inhibitor into at least one of a subterranean formation and subterranean wellbore. The method also includes maintaining the amount of the monoamine corrosion inhibitor in the acid mixture in the subterranean formation and/or the subterranean wellbore in a range of 10 ppm to 400 ppm for the duration of the acid treatment operation. The corrosion rate of steel parts of an acidic fluid circulation system in the acid mixture may be within an acceptable corrosion rate in a temperature range of 20° C. to 135° C.

SYSTEM FOR EVALUATION OF THE PRECIPITATION, ADHESION AND INORGANIC SCALE
The present invention addresses to a system that aims at reproducing situations close to those found in oil wells, in relation to the thermodynamic conditions (pressure and temperature), and the fluids present (by means of the chemical species involved), aiming at representing in a more realistic way the production scenarios to be faced. The main scope is to represent on a laboratory scale the phenomenon of depressurization with the release of carbon dioxide inducing the precipitation of calcite (calcium carbonate), the growth and agglomeration of inorganic crystals, and the phenomena of adhesion and scale on common metallic surfaces of elements of completion of oil wells.

Polymer Matrix Particles for Inhibiting Scale Formation in Oil and Gas Wells
Polymer matrix particles useful for inhibiting scale formation in oil and gas wells are described. The insoluble, porous, crosslinked polymer matrix includes a polymer backbone and ionic functional groups covalently bonded to the backbone, the ionic functional groups being capable of selectively attracting and binding salt scale-forming ions when in contact with a liquid containing such ions.

Multifunctional composition for enhanced oil recovery, improved oil quality and prevention of corrosion
The subject invention provides compositions and methods for simultaneously enhancing oil recovery, improving the quality of oil and gas through reduction in sulfur-containing compounds, and preventing and/or reducing corrosion of oil and gas production equipment. A multi-functional composition is provided comprising an antimicrobial biosurfactant component, a first ammonium salt, and ammonium hydroxide. In some embodiments, the efficiency of the composition is further enhanced by the addition of a chelating agent, a phenol (e.g., carbolic acid or phenolic acid), and/or an H.sub.2S scavenger. In some embodiments, the composition is further enhanced for use in cold climates by the addition of an antifreeze mixture comprising one or more of a second ammonium salt, sodium chloride and glycerol.
