METHOD AND DOWNHOLE APPARATUS TO ACCELERATE WORMHOLE INITIATION AND PROPAGATION DURING MATRIX ACIDIZING OF A SUBTERRANEAN ROCK FORMATION
The present disclosure relates to downhole tools and related methods that accelerate wormhole initiation and propagation during matrix acidizing of a hydrocarbon-bearing subterranean rock formation.
Downhole transducer assemblies and pressure range control therein
A downhole transducer assembly capable of being safely operated at a variety of pressures and depths may include a turbine rotatable by a fluid pressure differential rotationally fixed to a rotor in a generator. To reduce the rotational speed of the turbine and rotor, a pressure regulator may limit a fluid pressure differential by controlling the volumetric flow. One or more nozzles may be configured to automatically regulate a nozzle diameter, and therefore the pressure drop across the nozzle. A surge protector may be connected to the generator.
System and method for incorporating a velocity spool (ejector) in a corrosion inhibition system
The present disclosure describes a wellhead system that includes a wellhead; a tank of corrosion inhibitor chemical; and an ejector device comprising: a high pressure nozzle connected to the wellhead through a first flowline; a low pressure nozzle connected to the tank of corrosion inhibitor chemical through a second flowline; and wherein the ejector device is configured to generate a gas and chemical mixture fluid that exits the ejector device and flows downstream of the wellhead system.
NOZZLE FOR GAS CHOKING
A nozzle for controlling the flow of a gas component of a fluid produced from a hydrocarbon-bearing reservoir, the fluid comprising oil and gas, comprises a fluid passage extending between an inlet and an outlet, wherein the fluid passage comprises a constriction for choking the flow of the gas component of the fluid.
Downhole tools for controlled fracture initiation and stimulation
A downhole tool can be advanced downhole a wellbore. The downhole tool can include an electromagnetic source, a directional antenna, and a casing. The casing can either completely or partially consist of ceramic materials. The directional antenna can be oriented to direct electromagnetic radiation generated by the electromagnetic source towards the ceramic materials of the casing. In response to receiving the electromagnetic radiation, the ceramic materials can absorb the electromagnetic radiation, which can cause the ceramic materials to rapidly increase in temperature.
Automatic cleaning device for suction port of electric submersible pump
The present invention relates to an automatic cleaning device for suction port of electric submersible pump. The pipe string joint is connected between the oil pipe and the electric submersible pump. A plurality of oil drain passage inlets, steel balls, return springs, sealing plugs and oil drain passage outlets are evenly distributed in circumferential direction of a boss. The upper end of the connecting pipe is connected with the outlet of the oil drain passage, and the lower end is connected with the nozzle. The retaining ring secures the connecting pipe on the housing of the electric submersible pump. A high-pressure fluid ejected from the nozzle directly acts on the suction port of the electric submersible pump. The present invention can automatically clean the suction port of the electric submersible pump by relying on the pressure difference between the outlet and the suction port of the electric submersible pump.
SLEEVE VALVE
An apparatus for selectably injecting materials into a well comprises an elongate inner casing having first and second sets of selectably closable passages therethrough and an outer casing extending between the first and second ends surrounding the inner casing so as to form an annular cavity therebetween. The first end of the outer casing is sealably connected to the inner casing and the second end of the outer casing has a free edge proximate to the second set of passages. The first set of passages extends through the inner casing into the annular cavity such that fluid passing through either of the first or second sets of passages enters an exterior of the apparatus at a common location.
PULSE BASED PERF AND WASH SYSTEM AND METHOD
A perf and wash system for plugging a casing and wellbore, the perf and wash system including a cleaning tool having at least one nozzle making a first angle with a longitudinal axis of the system; a perforating gun assembly having at least one shaped charge making a second angle with the longitudinal axis; and a plug connected with a first end to the cleaning tool and with a second end, opposite to the first end, to the perforating gun assembly. The first angle is substantially equal to the second angle and the first and second angles are different than 90 degrees.
MODIFIABLE THREE POSITION SLEEVE FOR SELECTIVE RESERVOIR STIMULATION AND PRODUCTION
A downhole tool and method of use. The downhole tool includes a stimulation sleeve receptive to a stimulation insert, and a production sleeve receptive to a production insert. A formation parameter of the reservoir is obtained. The tool is assembled to include the stimulation sleeve and the production sleeve, which are configured based on the formation parameter. The tool is run downhole into a wellbore to perform a stimulation operation via the stimulation sleeve and a production operation via the production sleeve.
CHEMICAL INJECTION SYSTEM FOR COMPLETED WELLBORES
A resource exploration and recovery system includes a first system and a second system extending into a wellbore. The second system includes a completion having a casing defining a wellbore internal diameter. A chemical injection tubing extends from the first system into the completion. The chemical injection tubing includes a terminal end portion. A chemical introduction system is arranged at the first system and is fluidically connected to the chemical injection tubing. The chemical introduction system is operable to deliver a chemical into the chemical injection tubing. A chemical injector assembly is mounted to the terminal end portion. The chemical injection system includes an anchor and a chemical injector valve.
