Corrosion resistant yieldable bolt
A mine bolt includes an elongated body having a first end and a second end positioned opposite the first end, with the elongated body having a first threaded section, a second threaded section, and a non-threaded section positioned between the first threaded section and the second threaded section. The non-threaded section is configured to yield under loading when the mine bolt is installed with grout in a bore hole.
ADAPTED GROUT DELIVERY SLEEVE
A rock anchor assembly includes: a tubular sleeve between first and second ends, having an anchor retaining portion opening on the second end; a rock anchor with an elongate body extending between distal and proximal ends, received in the tubular sleeve with the proximal and distal ends of the body projecting from the first and second ends respectively of the sleeve; a tensioning and locking assemblage on the anchor body between the proximal end and the first end of the sleeve, a forward part being engageable with the first end of the sleeve; and a mechanical anchor engaged to the anchor body at the distal end which, from an unexpanded configuration, expands radially to an expanded configuration. The anchor retaining portion at least partially retains the mechanical anchor in the unexpanded configuration. The anchor retaining portion expands circumferentially to accommodate retracted ingress of the anchor in the expanded configuration.
Rock bolt assembly with failure arrestor
A rock anchor assembly includes: a resiliently radially deformable tubular member longitudinally extending between leading and trailing ends and which has an arrestor formation integral with, or engaged to, a trailing end part of the member; an elongate element longitudinally extending through the member between first and second ends and which attaches to the tubular member at spaced distal and proximal load points and which has a failure arrestor fixed at a point within the member; and a faceplate on the tubular member or the elongate member. When the assembly is inserted in a rock hole, with the faceplate bearing against the rock face, and load is applied along the elongate element that will cause the element to sever above the point at which the arrestor is fixed, the failure arrestor engages the arrestor formation, arresting the ejectment of a proximal portion of the elongate element from the hole.
System and method for supporting sidewalls or ribs in coal mines
A cuttable, sinkable mining bolt system for use in supporting the sidewall or rib in a coal mine. A bearing plate has a plurality of hollow cores defined transaxially therein and a central hole defined axially therethrough, the bearing plate made of modified recycled, rigid PVC compound. A fiberglass bolt is adapted to be inserted through the central hole of bearing plate.
Bolt is one-piece consisting of glass fiber reinforced plastic. Head component includes a square head and integral, beveled washer for self-centering in the bearing plate as rod component is driven into rib. Bearing plates are adapted to sink into a refuse stream. Hollow cores of bearing plate reduce the material and thus the weight and expense of the bearing plate while still allowing the bearing plates to sink. Optionally, rod components can be inserted transaxially through the hollow cores to increase the strength and coverage of the system.
Reaming and self-rotating anchor rod and using method thereof
A reaming and self-rotating anchor rod includes a rod body, a drill bit, a connecting member, a tray, and a nut. One end the connecting member is snap-fixed to the tail part of the rod body, the other end of the connecting member is connected to an anchor rod bolter. The rod body has an annular protrusion at its middle part to block powder so that the powder fills up the clearance between the rod body and the coal mass. The drill bit has female threads and can be screwed into the front part of the rod body, and the drill bit has baffle pawls and spiral grooves on its side surface.
Mine Bolt Bending System
A mine bolt bending system includes a frame comprising a plurality of bolt receiving portions each configured to receive and hold a mine roof bolt, a bolt contact member secured to the frame, with the bolt contact member rotatable relative to the frame between a first position and second position, and an actuator secured to the frame, with the actuator configured to move the bolt contact member between the first and second positions. The bolt contact member is configured to bend a mine bolt when rotating from the first position to the second position.
Adapted rock bolt with improved installation properties
Disclosed is a grout anchored rock bolt which includes an elongate cylindrical body of a suitable material which has at least one integral anchor portion which includes of a plurality projection, each of which extends laterally from the body in at least one radial direction, wherein the projections are consecutively serially arranged along the length of the anchor portion and wherein each projection is radially offset relatively to the preceding formation at an angle that is not orthogonal.
Friction bolt
A friction bolt assembly to frictionally engage a bore formed in rock strata. The assembly includes an elongate tube and an expander mechanism acted on by an anchor mechanism via an elongate bar or cable. A retainer mechanism is mounted to act between the bar or cable and the tube to prevent ejection of the bar or cable from the assembly should the bar or cable break.
Resin anchored rock bolt with a piercing end
Disclosed is a resin bolt which includes an elongate shaft which extends between a leading end and a trailing end and a positioning head which is integral to the shaft at the leading end and which extends in the elongate axis of the shaft from a perimeter rim to a crown, with the head formed with a plurality of projections, with each projection extending laterally, beyond the radial dimension of the shaft and each projection having a leading surface which slopes, at least partially, from the crown to the perimeter rim, and a trailing surface from the perimeter rim to the shaft.
Umbrella anchorage
The invention is an application that completely alter the operating principle and load transfer mechanism of the anchorage technique used in the field of civil engineering, in particular at the excavation bracing and slope stability applications with a novel root zone apparatus.
