Rock anchor inflation and draining system
Rock anchors, inflation chucks, and inflation systems such as those described herein, allow for substantially complete draining of fluids from interior volumes of the rock anchors. In various situations, corrosive fluids may be introduced to the rock anchor, including inflating the rock anchors and during normal use, such as by groundwater intrusion. The inflation chucks described herein include multiple inflation paths for more effectively introducing and draining fluid from rock anchors during inflation processes and during general use.
RETAINER DEVICE FOR A ROCK ANCHOR, ROCK ANCHOR SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED INSTALLATION METHOD
The present invention provides a retainer device 1 for retaining or holding an anchor rod 11 of a rock anchor, especially a self-drilling anchor, in a hole H drilled above horizontal. The retainer device 1 comprises: a body portion 2 configured to be mounted on the anchor rod 11, and especially on an outer or external periphery of the anchor rod, and at least one locking arm or tab 6, 7 that projects from the body portion 2 in a direction transverse to a longitudinal extent of the anchor rod 11. The body portion 2 is configured for movement relative to the anchor rod 11 in use, and the at least one arm or tab 6, 7 is configured to deform so as to engage and bear against an inner wall W of the hole H when the retainer device 1 mounted on the anchor rod 11 is driven into the hole H. The invention also relates to a rock anchor system 10, comprising: at least one elongate anchor rod 11; a drill bit 12 configured for attachment to one end region 13 of the elongate anchor rod 11 for drilling the anchor rod 11 into rock strata R; and at least one retainer device 1 according to the invention described above for retaining or holding the anchor rod 11 in a hole H drilled in the rock strata R above horizontal. The invention also provides a method for installing a rock anchor.
ROCK BOLT INSTALLATION TOOL
A tool aiding the installation of a rock bolt assembly in a rock hole includes: a drive shaft having a proximal end to engage with a drilling rig, and a distal end with a recess to receive a trailing end portion of the rock bolt and which has a first seat against which an axially pre-set component of the rock bolt assembly abuts; and a tubular sleeve telescopically engaged with the shaft with a first end for receiving an axially moveable component of the rock bolt assembly and which has a second seat against which the axially moveable component abuts, and a second end. The sleeve is reciprocally moveable relatively to the shaft between a biased forward position in which the axially pre-set component and the axially moveable component are spaced, and a retracted position in which the axially pre-set component engages or connects to the axially moveable component.
Rock bolt with information display region
A rock bolt for installation within a bore formed in rock strata having an elongate shaft with the leading end for installation into the bore and a trailing end projecting from an open end of the bore. A locking nut is threadably attached to the trailing end and is arranged to display product information and the like at a display face. The display face is recessed axially into the nut to provide protection against damage to the display face that may otherwise render the information unreadable.
Anchoring method utilizing self-drilling and self-anchoring extendable anchor rod applicable to soft and weak coal rocks
The present invention provides a self-drilling and self-anchoring extendable anchor rod applicable to soft and weak coal rocks and an anchoring method thereof, which are suitable for supporting soft and weak coal rock mass in roadways.
Mesh supporting rock anchor
Disclosed is a rock bolt assembly for installing a mesh panel against a rock face which includes a rock bolt which has an elongate body extending between a first end and a second end, a cylindrical bush engaged with the bolt body, towards the second end, the cylindrical bush having a plurality of annular or arcuate grooves formed in an exterior of the surface of the bush and a washer having a plate-like body with an aperture formed there through.
End coupling for a rock bolt
An end coupling for a rock bolt having a shaft having an external thread, the coupling having an axis and the coupling comprising a body having a leading end and a trailing end spaced apart along the axis, a first passage portion extending along the axis from the leading end; a second passage portion extending along the axis from the trailing end; the first passage portion including a first thread portion to threadingly engage the external thread on the shaft of the rock bolt; the second passage portion including a drive receiving portion arranged to be engaged with a drive inserted into the second passage portion via the trailing end to impart rotation to the coupling about the axis.
EXPANDABLE ROCK BOLT WITH INDICATOR OF CLAMPING
An expandable rock bolt which is formed with a expansion body having a transversal cross section that has a deformed shape which defines at least one lengthwise groove having ends that include caps with a filling component on an inlet side and an end component on an outlet side. The expandable rock bolt is further equipped with at least one indicator of clamping which is formed with a hollow tube which is made of an elastically compressible material and which is placed on a wall of the expansion body along which the indicator is taken out on a visible side for staff whereas at least in a part of an internal cavity of the tube of the indicator is placed an indication medium.
