RAIL FASTENING DEVICE
20190218723 · 2019-07-18 · ·

A rail fastening device comprises a clip (10) having a base (11) and a nose (12) for engaging a rail flange (F). The base (11) comprises circular aperture (14) in which a circular cam (13) is rotatably mounted, the cam (13) being provided with an eccentric aperture (24) for receiving a ground anchor (25), the cam aperture (24) being radially offset from the rotational centre of the cam (13) to define a cam lobe (15). The cam (13) may comprise a ramped circumferential shoulder (18) to engage a complementary shoulder (21) inside the base aperture (14) such that any rotation of the cam (13) under the applied load of the rail causes the cam (13) to move axially of the base aperture (14) thereby tightening the engagement of the anchor (25) on the cam (13) and preventing movement of the clip (10). The degree of rotation of the cam (13) may be limited so that it can only turn in the tightening direction under load.

Rail clip assembly (1), comprising superposable first (10) and second bodies (11) arranged for being removably fastened to a rail support by a connector (9). The first body (10) comprises an abutment surface (121) adapted for abutment with a lateral face of a foot of a rail. The first and second bodies comprise corresponding apertures (122, 112) for receiving the connector (9), one (122) of the apertures being oblong with a longer axis (150) extending in a direction oblique to the abutment surface, to enable the first body to assume different positions relative to the second body. The first and second bodies comprise first corresponding surfaces (123, 111) configured for providing force transmitting contact between the first and second bodies when assembled. The rail clip assembly is characterized in that the first and second bodies comprise second corresponding surfaces (124, 114) configured to enter into force transmitting engagement with each other upon fastening the assembly, which have an inclination at an angle between 20 and 85 relative to the horizontal, such that the engagement of the second surfaces with each other produces a net resulting force on the first body oriented towards the rail and resisting backing movement of the first body away from the lateral face of the rail foot upon fastening the connector.

Universal slide-plate

A universal slide-plate includes a body and a drop-in shoulder member with a plurality of retaining members that cooperate to selectively connect the universal slide-plate and a stock rail to a rail platform and/or tie. The universal slide-plate has a slide surface configured to support a moveable point rail thereon. The universal slide-plate may be selectively removed and repositioned relative to a rail platform and/or tie.

Device for Fastening Trackside Modules to Rails

The invention relates to a device for fastening trackside modules to a rail having a base and a head. The device includes two clamps that are clamped on the base of the rail with the use of a mechanism that extends under the base of the rail. At least one of the clamps is movable. A bracket is fastened to at least one of the clamps and a trackside module is fastened next to the head of the rail. A pair of brackets is fastened with the use of fasteners to surfaces of each of the clamps. The brackets extend transversely to the longitudinal axis of the rail and at least one upwardly extending section is fastened using second fasteners to at least one of the brackets outer side surfaces. At least one trackside module is fastened to an upper end region of at least one upwardly extending section.

A holddown assembly fastens a railway rail to a transversely extending hollow sleeper formed with a vertically throughgoing hole. An upwardly projecting lateral brace element is provided on the sleeper offset from the hole, and the assembly has a body fitted between the rail and the brace element and transversely bracing the rail against the brace element. An anchor of the assembly is engaged through the hole, projects upward from the sleeper, is transversely shiftable in the hole, and bears upward on the sleeper. A spring clip is pressed by the anchor down against the rail and presses the rail down against the metal sleeper.

RAIL CLIP TOOL
20180038052 · 2018-02-08 ·

A tool for removing rail clips of the kind which are applied transversely to the rail, which includes a pair of levers connected at a pivot point and being adapted to move toward or away from each other. Each lever has at its lower end, a rail clip engagement face which engage opposed sides of a rail clip seating transversely on the rail base. Each clip engagement face includes a clamp plate adapted to abut one side of the toes of the rail clip, an engagement pin adapted to engage one side of the rear portion of said rail clip, and a reaction pivot rear edge adapted to pivot about a point behind said rail clip. This arrangement allows the tool to be opened by moving the levers away from each other, placing the engagement faces on either side of the clip and then bringing the levers together so that the clamp plates compress the toes of the clip together so that the clip can be removed rearwardly from the rail clip support shoulder. When the toes are compressed the engagement pin abuts the rear curved portion of the rail clip and by pulling the levers away from the rail about the rear pivot base edge the rail clip is withdrawn from the base of the rail into the rail clip support shoulder.
