Support structure module and modular beam structure
A modular beam structure consisting of one or more collapsible, lockable and interconnectable support structure modules, and any transition module to change longitudinal direction of the structure. In addition, it is possible to attach onto one or more support structure modules a collapsible platform and/or wall or fence. The structure is at an upstream end or start end attachable, via a module end element, onto an attachment device, e.g. a wall or attachment block, via a support frame which is fixedly attached to the attachment device.
Transportation Pathway Elevation Separator
A modular system for constructing an elevated pathway includes a first pathway segment comprising a first elevated platform portion; first edge supports to bare a load of the first elevated platform portion, wherein the first edge supports contact a ground surface and create a grade separation between the ground surface and a bottom side of the first elevated platform portion; and a first joint. The modular system also includes a second pathway segment comprising: a second elevated platform portion; second edge supports to bare a load of the second elevated platform portion, wherein the second edge supports contact the ground surface and create a grade separation between the ground surface and a bottom side of the second elevated platform portion; and a second joint to attach to the first joint to limit a motion of the second pathway segment relative to the first pathway segment.
Deployable truss with orthogonally-hinged primary chords
A deployable truss with modified primary orthogonal joints. The construction of these joints causes the center-hinged primary chords on opposite sides of a truss bay to fold inward in a plane orthogonal to the folding planes of the side diagonals while the two secondary chords fold in planes orthogonal to the plane of the in-folding primary chords. This provides for stiffness and stability during deploy and retract. The unique joint configuration permits the truss to deploy one bay at a time in a stable manner while having lateral bending stiffness, and the truss thus can extend and retract in a sequential manner. It can deploy integral flat panels nested between the secondary folding chords, or use cross bracing in lieu of panels. The truss can be triangular, square or rectangular in cross-section. A powered support frame may be used in conjunction with the truss.
Transportable foldable bridge
A transportable foldable bridge that has a folded transport state and an unfolded installation state. The bridge includes a first ramp element, a second ramp element and an intermediate element with two opposing ends. A first end of the intermediate element is connected to the first ramp element and the other end of the intermediate element is connected to the second ramp element. An articulating connection is provided between the first ramp element and the intermediate element. In the transport state, the first ramp element and the intermediate element are folded and the second ramp element constitutes an extension of the intermediate element.
Lightweight universal gap crossing device and method of use
A crossing device aids in crossing from a near side to a far side of an obstacle. It comprises a lead assembly that is projected to the far side of the obstacle and that includes an anchor assembly and a pulley. The anchor assembly has a base, a launch tube that is secured to the base, a spike that is housed within the launch tube, and a propellant charge. The anchor assembly is anchored on the far side of the obstacle by remotely initiating the propellant charge. The explosion force drives the spike through the launch tube and the base, into a landing surface. A bridge is connected to the pulley and is pulled to span across the obstacle. The bridge, lead assembly, and anchor may be collected on the far side for additional uses.
Rapid deploy mobile pedestrian bridge
An apparatus which includes an expandable lift device; and an expandable bridge span. The expandable lift device is configured to raise the expandable bridge span, while the expandable bridge span is in a compressed state and is substantially aligned with the expandable lift device. Next, the expandable bridge span is configured to rotate about ninety degrees with respect to the expandable lift device, while the expandable bridge span is in the compressed state; and thereafter the expandable bridge span is configured to expand perpendicularly to the expandable lift device. The apparatus may further include first and second staircases, which are configured to be attached to first and second ends, respectively of the extended expandable bridge span. A method is provided of deploying the apparatus to provide a removable bridge structure.
