Sound absorber
The invention relates to a sound absorber (1) for a traffic route noise protection wall, wherein the sound absorber (1) comprises at least one plastic foam board (2). According to the invention, a first surface (3) of the plastic foam board (2) has a predeterminable number of sound absorber recesses (4) for predetermination of the absorption behavior with a predeterminable frequency response, wherein each of the sound absorber recesses (4) extends only through part of the thickness (5) of the plastic foam board (2).
NOISE BARRIER WALL
A noise barrier wall is provided for combined sound absorption and solar power generation, comprising a plate-like main body, a large number of solar cells encapsulated in the main body, at least one absorber cartridge arranged on at least one side of the main body and filled with sound-absorbing material, and devices for fastening the main body and the absorber cartridge to one another, the main body having, on one side, a light-permeable surface section which permits light that falls on the one side of the main body to pass through to at least some of the solar cells, the absorber cartridge being arranged adjacent to the light-permeable surface section in such a way that it is in contact with the main body and covers a further surface section of the main body, this further surface section lying in the same plane as the light-permeable surface section.
NOISE BARRIER
A noise barrier including a front wall, a rear wall, and two opposite and spaced apart side walls which extend from the front wall to the rear wall. A compartment is enclosed by at least the front wall, the rear wall, and the side walls. A channel is located spaced apart from the enclosed compartment, wherein the channel has an inlet for enabling a part of an approaching sound wave to enter and propagate through the channel, and an outlet through which said part of the sound wave is enabled to leave the channel so as to interfere with the original part of the sound wave that propagates above the noise barrier. The inlet is located in the front wall and faces a noise source area. The outlet is located at a vertically higher level than the inlet and rearward of the front wall.
Noise barriers and methods of their manufacture
The present invention relates to a noise barrier wall panel that is lighter and more structurally sound than existing concrete noise barrier wall panels. The panel has a metal frame that is reinforced via metal strapping in key areas to prevent sagging. The panel has a plurality of layers forming a laminate that can be fixedly attached to the frame. A finish coating layer may have a plurality of designs, logos, symbols, or textures which may mimic building materials or scenery.
