A method of operating an incursion warning system for a work zone, the incursion warning system comprising: a plurality of sensor units arranged about a perimeter of the work zone; and a plurality of alarm units each comprising one or more of an audio, visual or haptic alarm operable to warn a workforce of a potential danger in response to a detected breach into the work area; the method comprising: establishing a geo-zone delimiting a geographical area that includes at least part of the work zone; and a set of rules associated with the geo-zone; deriving an instruction for one of the alarm units determined to be in the geo-zone from the set of rules based on a characteristic of the alarm unit and a characteristic(s) of one or more other alarm units determined to be within the geo-zone; and wherein the instruction is derived in response to a change in a characteristic of the alarm unit and/or the one or more other alarm units and/or one or more of the sensor units within the geo-zone.

An apparatus including a collapsible body, a base, and a cap. The body including a spring element coupled to the body to apply an extension force. The spring element having a helical geometry. The collapsible body has a high visibility characteristic. The base is coupled to a first end of the body and has a shape to secure the body and the spring element relative to the base and to receive the body in a collapsed state. The base includes a base coupling element to secure the body in the collapsed state. The cap is coupled to a second end of the body opposite the first end, the cap to, at least partially, close the second end of the body.
Dynamically updating ultra-wide band road markers
Provided is an apparatus and method for dynamically communicating information of an area of interest by way of road marker devices, such as road cones, pucks, barricade, or the like. The apparatus may communication information for areas of interest including road work zones, traffic accidents, disabled vehicles, or other road hazards. The road marker devices include processing circuitry configured to determine a peripheral shape as a boundary indicated by the road marker devices as the information of the area of interest, and communicate the information of the peripheral shape from a marker device to vehicles approaching the area of interest. The road markers may communicate information of the area of interest to autonomous vehicles, or vehicles having certain sensors.

Covers for notification, channeling, or delineator devices used to provide notification of immediately proximate or upcoming events, to channel or otherwise direct/redirect traffic flow, or to delineate areas where egress is permitted from areas where egress is not permitted. These covers are generally sized to be disposed on channelizer drums, delineators, cones, barriers, or other channeling devices, are removably securable to such devices, are capable of conveying or communicating information, and can provide alert, information, and/or message communication(s) conveyance to motorized vehicles, non-motorized vehicles, or pedestrians.

Traffic cone
A traffic cone is provided. The traffic cone includes a triangular base with feet coupled to a bottom side of the triangular base. The traffic cone further includes a cone body having eight surfaces forming an octagonal cone shape coupled to the triangular base, wherein the cone body extends from a top side of the triangular base. Additionally, the traffic cone includes at least one reflective member coupled around a perimeter of the cone body.
