SNOWBANK DECONSTRUCTING SYSTEM
An autonomous snowbank deconstructing system includes an autonomous vehicle, one or more boom arms coupled to the autonomous vehicle, and a dulled shovel component coupled to the one or more boom arms. The autonomous vehicle is configured to autonomously gather loose debris to form one or more debris piles with repetitive, low-impact contact of the dulled shovel component with the loose debris, and autonomously deconstruct accumulated debris with repetitive, low-impact contact of the dulled shovel component with the accumulated debris.
Snow and ice melting device, system and corresponding methods
Disclosed herein is a device that is configured to melt at least one of snow and ice, comprising a coil formed from an elongated member having a first end and a second end, the elongated member having a surface comprising at least one of grooves, notches and pores configured to facilitate movement of liquid by capillary action. Corresponding methods and systems also are disclosed.
PORTABLE GROUND THAWING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A portable ground thawing system for excavating Shovel Test Pits (STPs) includes a cylindrical heat chamber having an open bottom and a closed top. A charging inlet is disposed on one side and a flue is on the other. An adjustable baffle is stationed in the flue. A salamander style heater is positioned to emit a stream of hot gas through the charging inlet, creating a swirling internal current of hot gas that loops through an internal heat loft. The heat loft provides both radiant heat properties as well as supports convection via the gas current that sweep across the frozen ground before exiting the flue. Electricity to power the heater is supplied by a generator. The method of use includes orienting the heat chamber so that its charging inlet is leeward and its flue is windward relative to the prevailing wind direction.
SNOW MELTING TOOL SYSTEM AND METHOD
The snow melting tool reduces physical strain on the body from shoveling snow. It connects to a small propane tank for power. It effectively prevents cracks and chips in the asphalt caused by traditional shoveling. It saves time and frustration when clearing off sidewalks and driveways. It helps business owners remove snow for their customers.
Snow and debris removal apparatus
A debris removal apparatus (e.g., for moving snow) can include a frame configured to attach to a prime mover. The frame can include one or more rails that extend from a first side of the frame to a second side of the frame. Additionally, the debris removal apparatus can include a carriage configured to translate along the one or more rails of the frame. Further, the debris removal apparatus can include a blower configured to intake a fluid and discharge the fluid at a blower outlet. The blower can be coupled with the carriage. Still further, the debris removal apparatus can include a nozzle configured to couple with the blower outlet.
Air Blowing And Heating Device And Method Of Use
An air blowing and heating device for generating and selectively heating forced air includes a housing, which is tubular and open ended, thus defining an intake port and an outlet port. A blower and a heater are attached to and are positioned in the housing. The blower selectively forces air through the outlet port and the heater selectively heats the air. A battery is operationally engaged to the blower and the heater. A switch is attached to the housing and is operationally engaged to the battery, the heater, and the blower. The switch selectively actuates the blower to generate unheated forced air, enabling a user to blow debris, such as leaves, dust, and the like. The switch also can selectively actuate the blower and the heater concurrently to generate heated forced air, enabling the user to blow and to melt sleet, snow, ice, and the like.
Adjustment mechanism for deicing unit, deicing unit, deicing vehicle and deicing method
Provided are a deicing unit adjustment mechanism, a deicing unit, a deicing vehicle, and a deicing method. The adjustment mechanism comprises sub-adjustment unit(s) comprising a positioning wheel, a screw rod, a guide rod having one end connected with the screw rod, an upper-end cover slidably arranged at one end of the screw rod away from the guide rod, a lower-end cover fixedly arranged at one end of the screw rod close to the guide rod, a positioning wheel-adjustment spring sleeved outside the screw rod and having two ends abutting against the upper- and lower-end covers and a pressure-adjusting nut at one end of the screw rod away from the guide rod and one side of the upper end cover away from the guide rod. The positioning wheel is rotatably-arranged at other end of the guide rod, with an axis of the positioning wheel perpendicular to that of the guide rod.
Heat generating system for a motor vehicle
A heat generating system for a motor vehicle includes a carbon nanotube heating element and a controller. The controller is configured to activate the carbon nanotube heating element in response to a wireless activation signal received from a remote communication device. A related method of heating a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle is also disclosed.
SNOW BLOWER
A snow blower (10) for blowing snow off a surface. The snow blower (10) comprises a body (50) comprising an intake port (120); a discharge port (318); and a conduit (202) having an interior wall (212). The conduit (202) is fluidly connecting the intake port (120) to the discharge port (318). The snow blower (10) further comprises an electric circuit (114) housed by the body (50) and connected to a power source; an electric blower (104) housed by the body (50) and powered by the electric circuit (114) for drawing air from the intake port (120); and a heating coil (210) electrically connected to the electric circuit (114) and extending along a portion of the interior wall (212). The air is forced through the conduit (202), heated by the heating coil (210) and exhausted at the discharge port (318) to blow snow off the surface.
