FORCED AIR SNOW REMOVAL SYSTEM

A system for snow removal from a surface includes one or more blower systems. Each blower system includes a blower to pressurize air, a conduit in fluid connection with the blower, and a control system to control parameters of operation of the blower system. The conduit includes one or more passages therein from which pressurized air is blown to remove snow from the surface adjacent the position of the one or more blower systems. The control system is configured to pivot the conduit about a sweep axis over a determined sweep angle of at least 100 degrees.

Apparatus for removing snow through liquefaction

The present invention relates to an apparatus for removing snow through liquefaction, and the objective of the present invention is to provide an apparatus for removing snow through liquefaction that can melt snow suctioned by a snow suction means into water, thereby enhancing energy efficiency. The apparatus comprises: a snow suction means that includes a stirring part that forcibly crushes and stirs external snow and a suction part that forcibly suctions the snow that is stirred in the stirring part; a water spray means that sprays water into the suction part to melt the snow suctioned by the snow suction means; a storage part that stores the water into which the snow is melted by the water spray means; and a heating means that is located below the storage part and applies heat to the water stored in the storage part, wherein the heated water in the storage part is pumped and supplied to the water spray means.

Snow removal mattress

An inflatable air mattress for preventing snow accumulation is provided. The mattress comprises an inflatable portion comprising a textile material, and an outside air intake. A fan draws outside air into the inflatable portion through the air intake, and circulates the air when inflated. An air divider alternates between an inflating position and a circulating position that determines which air the fan blows. An air heater heats the air that passes through the fan. A controller activates the fan and air heater based on a signal from a snow sensor; controls the divider based on a signal from a pressure sensor; and controls the heater based on a signal from a heat sensor.

A snow melting assembly includes a heating unit that may be fluidly coupled to a fluid source thereby facilitating a fluid to be delivered to the heating unit. The heating unit is in thermal communication with the fluid when the fluid is delivered to the heating unit. In this way the heating unit heats the fluid above a pre-determined temperature. A spray unit is provided and the spray unit is beneath ground. The spray unit is fluidly coupled to the heating unit to receive the heated fluid from the heating unit. The spray unit includes a plurality of outlets and each of the outlets extends outwardly from the ground and is positioned adjacent to a traffic area. The spray unit sprays the heated fluid outwardly above the traffic area thereby facilitating the heated fluid to melt falling snow before the falling snow collects on the traffic area.

The Fresnel Snow Melter is an industrial snow removal device which uses concentrated solar energy to heat snow or ice such that it melts into water. This is achieved by focusing sunlight through a Fresnel lens onto snow using a frame and lattice structure, on a day with adequate sunlight. Depending on the sunlight, the resulting water can then be evaporated by continued use of the device.
