IMPROVEMENTS IN AND RELATING TO EROSION PREVENTION
20230183933 · 2023-06-15 ·

An erosion prevention system, a cell assembly and a kit of parts for such a system, and methods of making and installing such an erosion prevention system is disclosed. A cell assembly (2501) may comprise a plurality of cells (2520a, 2520b, 2520c) for containment of rock pieces, each cell having a bottom, sides/ends and a top each formed from wire mesh. A continuous length of wire mesh may wrap around and defines the upper, lower (2502) and end faces (2503a, 2503b) of the cell assembly (2501), the ends of the length being fastened together at an overlapping join positioned on the upper and/or end of the cell assembly. The continuous length of chain-link wire mesh may extend beyond at least one side face (2503d) of the cell assembly, thereby being configured to overlap at least a portion of the lower, upper and end faces of a corresponding second cell assembly when positioned side by side. The wire mesh may be chain-link wire mesh.

SUBMERSIBLE TURF REINFORCEMENT MATS

Disclosed are exemplary embodiments of submersible turf reinforcement mats that may include polymer and one or more additives. For example, calcium carbonate, zinc sulfide, barium sulfate, and/or other additives may be mixed or blended with the polymer such that the overall density is high enough to cause the submersible turf reinforcement mat to sink in water.

EROSION CONTROL APPARATUS

The present invention relates to an erosion control apparatus and methods of using and installing the apparatus. The apparatus is constructed to prevent erosion of soil during typical weather or tidal conditions and adverse weather events. The apparatus can include a plurality of anchored rolls and soil lifts operative to stabilize the shoreline.

FLUCTUATION ZONE STATE SLOPE PROTECTION SYSTEM THAT RESPONDS TO HYDROLOGICAL CHANGES
20230175221 · 2023-06-08 ·

A fluctuation belt ecological slope protection system that responds to hydrological variation includes a runoff treatment system and an ecological floating island system. The runoff treatment system includes a grass planting side ditch and a water accumulation pit-pond. The ecological floating island system includes an ecological floating island and an ecological gabion base. The ecological floating island includes a flexible substrate, and aquatic plants. The ecological gabion base is positioned below the ecological floating island. The ecological protection system is suitable for a fluctuation belt and consists of a runoff treatment system and a separable ecological floating island system. Rain water on bank slope is purified and collected as wet soil is stabilized, the protection system responds to backwater water level variation in fluctuation belt, providing growing space for plants, organisms, and fish, following variation in water level, enriching the ecological environment of the fluctuation belt, and improving scenic effect.

A sand bag shovel having an elongated rod connected to a connecting member and the connecting member attached to a scoop. The scoop has a pair of sidewalls and a front wall with tapered panels that form a peak. A funnel is used with the scoop that has a flange that extends outwardly from a top opening.

Berm or levee expansion system and method
09783944 · 2017-10-10 ·

A system and method to create or elevate a berm of a liquid retention facility by placement of lightweight fill material anchored by an impervious liner material(s). The impervious liner material is integral to a water retention system such as a containment system of a retention pond. The system and method can also be used to elevate the liquid retention height of a levee in combination with impervious liner retention material. By constructing the berm system on an existing levee, the effective height of the levee can be increased. The lightweight fill material provides the shape of the berm or levee extension. The liquid impervious liner material provides a watertight surface, the media for joining of the lightweight fill material, and the anchoring of the lightweight fill material to the existing berm or levee structure.
