Compactor tooth base having a trench extending around a core
A base for forming a tooth for a wheel of a landfill compactor vehicle. The tooth comprises said base and a cap of a cast metal material formed on said base. The base comprises a block, a core and a lip. The block is adapted to be mounted on said landfill compactor vehicle wheel. The core, which is disposed on a cap-facing side of the base, is for receiving molten metal material during a casting operation and remains embedded in the cap. The lip is disposed around a periphery of the base and is also for receiving said molten metal material, in cooperation with the core. The lip at least partially surrounds the cap-facing side and the core and helps in reducing or preventing imperfections, such as cracks, which could otherwise form at the interface between the base and the cap following the casting operation.
Autonomous soil compactor front radar
A soil compactor machine can include a machine frame; at least one cylindrical roller drum rotatably coupled to the machine frame and rotatable about a drum axis oriented generally transverse to a direction of travel of the compactor machine; and a radar sensor mounted to a front portion of the machine frame and positioned forward of the roller drum, wherein the radar sensor is mounted to the machine frame by a sensor bracket configured to directly mount to the machine frame for both a blade and a non-blade soil compactor machine configuration.
METHOD FOR COMPACTING SOIL AND SOIL COMPACTOR
A method for compacting soil by a soil compactor including at least one soil compacting device, and a soil compactor. The method includes generating an as-built model of compaction level covering at least a work order area to be compacted, determining boundaries for the work order area and determining location data for an area over which the at least one soil compacting device travels. Furthermore, it is generated an up-to-date travel path to be driven to cover the work order area by the at least one soil compacting device by using compactor operation for compacting soil and measurement function for measuring the compaction level of soil while compacting. The soil compactor is driven according to the up-to-date travel path and a location-specific as-built compaction level of soil and determined boundaries for the work order area are saved to the as-built model of compaction level.
Single drum surface compactor machine
A surface compactor machine includes a cylindrical drum defining a cylindrical space in an interior portion of the cylindrical drum and having a central axis of rotation, and a counterweight in the cylindrical space. The compactor further includes a non-driven support wheel affixed to the counterweight and in contact with an underlying portion of an interior surface of the cylindrical drum beneath the counterweight. A drive motor is provided in the cylindrical space, and a drive wheel is mechanically rotatable by the drive motor. The drive wheel contacts an inner surface of the cylindrical drum such that rotation of the drive wheel by the drive motor urges the cylindrical drum to rotate about the central axis of rotation.
IMPACT COMPACTOR
The invention relates to an impact compactor which includes a first part on which at least one non-round compactor drum is rotatably mounted; and a second part which is connected to, and movable relative to, the first part. The impact compactor also includes a damping arrangement which is connected between the first and second parts and which is configured to provide a damping function for the relative movement between the first and second parts. The damping arrangement includes an outer tubular member which defines a non-circular inner channel/passage; a non-circular inner shaft member which defines a first axis of rotation and which is positioned, at least partially, in the channel/passage defined by the outer tubular member; and at least one wedge formation which is wedged between the shaft member and the tubular member. The wedge formation is at least partially resiliently deformable and is configured to resist/oppose relative rotation between the shaft member and the tubular member about the first axis of rotation. One of the members is connected to the first part, while the other member is connected to the second part.
IMPACT COMPACTOR
The invention relates to an impact compactor which includes a first part on which at least one non-round compactor drum is rotatably mounted; and a second part which is connected to, and movable relative to, the first part. The impact compactor also includes a damping arrangement which is connected between the first and second parts and which is configured to provide a damping function for the relative movement between the first and second parts.
