Modular block retaining wall construction system with channels and methods of manufacture and use
A modular block retaining wall construction system with a plurality of blocks. Each of the plurality of blocks include (i) a front wall defining a face surface, (ii) a pair of exterior sidewalls extending from the front wall, (iii) an exterior rear wall extending partially between the pair of exterior sidewalls, (iv) an interior rear wall extending partially between the pair of exterior sidewalls and spaced between the front surface and the exterior rear wall, (v) a pair of interior sidewalls extending between the exterior rear wall and the interior rear wall, and (vi) a divider extending from the interior rear wall, extending between the pair of interior sidewalls, and partially defining a plurality of channels. In this manner, each channel can be filled with a predetermined amount of material, e.g., gravel, to facilitating proper drainage of liquid, e.g., water, from the soil and/or other material retained by the retaining wall of the present inventive concept.
Catenary panel retaining wall
A retaining wall system, retaining wall panel, and method of constructing a retaining wall, wherein panels of the retaining wall define an arched or curved profile in plan view, for example following a catenary curvature, with the wall panel curvature being concave in a direction extending into the backfill area behind the retaining wall. The curvature resists backfill loading on the panel and evenly distributes the load across the panel without significant stress concentrations and transfers the load to posts or columns to which the panels are mounted.
Device for containing granular elements
Disclosed is a device for containing granular elements, comprising a metal mesh panel having metal wires welded together, the panel comprising at least one curvature of a first orientation and at least one curvature of a second orientation, the first orientation being characterized by a first axis and the second orientation being characterized by a second axis, the first axis and the second axis being non-collinear.
BUILDING ELEMENTS FOR MAKING RETAINING WALLS, AND SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USING SAME
A building element for coupling with other building elements to erect a retaining wall. Exemplary building elements have receiving spaces for receiving increased weight of fill material to provide increased stability. The building element can comprise a face panel and a beam. The beam can comprise a main body and first and second fork legs that extend between, and couple to, the face panel and the main body. The face panel and the first and second fork legs can cooperate to surround an interior space.
End point closing wall forming device of extrusion type underground diaphragm wall and method for operating same
An end point closing wall forming device of an extrusion type underground diaphragm wall comprises a main body (1) and a vibration water spraying device. The vibration water spraying device is fixedly disposed inside the main body (1). The end point closing wall forming device of an extrusion type underground diaphragm wall further comprises a separation device. The separation device is movably sheathed on the outer side of a short edge (11) of the main body (1). Also provided is a method for operating an end point closing wall forming device of an extrusion type underground diaphragm wall.
STRIP-TYPE REINFORCING MATERIAL AND REINFORCING MATERIAL ASSEMBLY COMPRISING SAME
Provided are a strip-type reinforcing material and a reinforcing material assembly having the same. The strip-type reinforcing material includes: strip bases extending in one direction and made of a flexible material; and resistance means protruding from respective upper and lower parts of the strip bases. Multiple resistance means are provided along the strip bases. The resistance means includes: a first resistance part protruding from the upper parts of the strip bases and having an opening being open in a direction parallel to a longitudinal direction of the strip bases; and a second resistance part protruding from the lower parts of the strip bases and having an opening being open in an opposite direction to the opening of the first resistance part.
Edge protection safety bund system
An edge protection safety bund system (10) for use in connection with a rock bund made of rock fill. The edge protection safety bund system (10) comprises a bund module (12) having a barrier wall (14) and a base plate (16). The bund module (12) is preferably one of a plurality of bund modules (12) arranged side by side to form an extended barrier wall (14). The barrier wall (14) of each module (12) extends substantially perpendicularly upwards from the base plate (16), and a support web (18) extends at an angle from a rear face of the barrier wall (14) to an upper surface of the base plate (16). In use, when rock fill is dumped onto the rear of the bund modules (12), and allowed to flow back to its natural angle of repose behind the barrier walls (14), it creates a rock bund (20) with a front face formed by the extended barrier wall (14).
Green gravity retaining wall
This patent provides designs for an ecologically friendly gravity retaining walls using a wide variety of building materials. This patent provides a method to build gravity walls using random fill. Where fill material is placed and then grouted in a specific way to form a solid mass. The primary problem with grouting loose fill to form a solid mass is that it needs confinement. This patent presents steps to create a confined space for grouting a structural section to provide horizontal support of an external mass. This is accomplished by dividing the wall into three sections. From front to back, these are the face, the structural section, and the back drainage sections. By grouting these separately and tying them together with modified concrete covered rebar a complete wall can be built in a very efficient manner. Initially planter blocks were included, now those claims are submitted under application Ser. No. 18/507,899.
Retaining wall
Disclosed is an economical and effective way of producing a modular retaining wall for a material to be retained, using only blocks which in and of themselves are of insufficient thickness to function as retaining wall blocks. The modular wall includes backer blocks and facing blocks which are connected by separate connectors in a back to back, spaced apart arrangement, thereby forming a hollow retaining wall. The hollow wall is filled with loose filler material to increase the mass and retaining capacity of the wall. None of the wall components is embedded in the material to be retained. Further disclosed are wall components and a wall kit for a modular retaining wall. A double sided decorative wall is also disclosed. The modular wall system allows for the construction of retaining walls and freestanding, double sided, decorative walls forming both straight and curved walls.
VERTICAL MANHOLE APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING ACCESS TO LEACHATE COLLECTION PIPES IN A LANDFILL
A vertical manhole apparatus for use in a waste facility to provide access to one or more leachate collection pipe access points. The vertical manhole is stabilized using stabilizing features extending out from a vertical pipe of the vertical manhole apparatus.
