Method for operating a circulation system, and circulation system

The invention relates to a method for operating a circulation system comprising a cooling device with an input port and an output port for cooling water. The invention also relates to a circulation system for implementing said method.

USER INTERFACE FOR CONTROLLING A SHOWER SYSTEM

A user interface for controlling a shower system includes at least one control configured to be actuated by a user and generate one or more signals for controlling an operation of the shower system, and at least one indicator light configured to illuminate in different patterns which are matched to different operational stages of the shower system. The at least one indicator light may be configured to provide a first light pattern when the shower system is in a first operational stage, and a second light pattern that is different from the first light pattern when the shower system is in a second operational stage. The first operational stage may include when water in the shower system is being warmed to a predetermined temperature, and the second operational stage may include when a temperature of the water has reached the predetermined temperature.

Bypass valve

A bypass valve is for support between hot and cold water lines that connect to respective hot and cold fixtures. The bypass valve includes a valve body having an internal chamber, a hot water inlet port, a hot water outlet port and a discharge port; a bi-metal spring; a support member for mounting the bi-metal spring within the internal chamber of the valve body; and a shuttle mounted to the bi-metal spring and constructed and arranged to mate with the hot water inlet port in a closed position of the bi-metal spring. The bi-metal spring assumes an open position to disengage from the hot water inlet port at a predetermined water temperature to enable the hot water to discharge through the discharge port to the cold water line.

The present invention provides a cartridge assembly having a cartridge shell. The cartridge assembly permits flow from a flow source to be regulated by the cartridge assembly to flow along a first flow path or along a second flow path. Flow along the first flow path enters through a first end of the cartridge shell and exits through at least one opening in the cartridge shell. Flow along the second flow path enters through the first end of the cartridge shell and is diverted to exit through the first end of the cartridge shell.

WATER CONSERVING SHOWER SYSTEM AND THERMOCHROMIC FIXTURES USED THEREIN

A water delivery system includes a mixing valve operable for delivering a water flow of adjustable temperature from a water source to a dispensing device downstream from the mixing valve; a thermochromic thermal indicator, fluidly coupled between the mixing valve and the dispensing device, that provides a visible indication of the water flow having achieved a predetermined temperature; and a diverter valve, fluidly coupled between the mixing valve and the dispensing device, and operable to direct the water flow selectively either to the dispensing device or back to the water source. The thermal indicator may be a thermochromic PVC conduit, or it may be a fitting having an inlet, an outlet, a thermochromic PVC element therebetween, and a barrier located between the inlet and the outlet so as to define a flow path that includes an interior surface of the thermochromic element.

Drinking water circulation device

The present invention intends to provide a drinking water circulation device (2) for cold water consumption, which is compactly accommodable in a building, universally and easily connectable to different cooling devices, easy to operate and, in addition, little failure-prone and easy to install. This drinking water circulation device (2) comprises a heat exchanger for cooling the drinking water, a return connection (24) for feeding drinking water returned from a circulation pipe into the drinking water circulation device (2), a supply connection (26) for discharging the cooled drinking water from the drinking water circulation device (2), a drinking water circulation pump (10) provided between the return connection (24) and the supply connection (26), a buffer tank (4) for a cooling medium (22), a cooling medium pump (22) provided in a cooling medium flow path between the buffer tank (4) and the heat exchanger (6), a control device (12) for controlling the cooling medium pump (8) and a supply temperature sensor (56), which is associated with the supply and is data-connected to the control device (12).

Recirculation valve and hot water recirculation system using the same

A recirculation valve includes a housing including a hot water fluid passage which is used to allow the hot water to flow through, a cold water fluid passage to allow the cold water to flow through, and a recirculation fluid passage to allow the hot water in the hot water fluid passage to flow into the cold water fluid passage, a water pressure plate provided to close the recirculation fluid passage when the cold water or the hot water is used, and to open the recirculation fluid passage when the cold and hot waters are not used, and a bimetal plate configured to open the recirculation fluid passage as the bimetal plate is spaced apart from a recirculation opening and to close the recirculation fluid passage by making contact with the recirculation opening, and positioned downstream of the recirculation opening in a direction in which the hot water flows.

Method and device for saving heat energy and water in a sanitary facility
11112126 · 2021-09-07 ·

A device for a sanitary facility, intended for rapidly delivering Domestic Hot Water (DHW) to the supply points without wasting energy. The device according to the invention transfers the DHW rapidly from the source to the user as soon as there is a need for it. The method, which prevents any recirculation, makes it possible, in particular, to save the large amount of energy that is systematically wasted each time the DHW is distributed between its source and the supply points. The device essentially consists of a motorised, relatively powerful pump (2) which channels the DHW from the source (1) and injects it into a pipe with a very small cross-section (3) that conveys the entire flow rate required by the user at a high velocity to the supply point (41). An adapted sensor (5) controls the switching on and off of the motor pump (2) upon each use and controls its flow rate on the basis of the requirements. A single device can be used for supplying multiple supply points. It can be fitted to all new or existing facilities.
