FREEZELESS OUTDOOR SHOWER
A freezeless outdoor shower assembly that is self-draining to prevent freezing and damage to the assembly when the assembly is exposed to cold and freezing weather. The assembly includes a riser coupled to a self-draining riser coupler assembly which drains water from the assembly when water from a water source it turned off. Preferably the freezeless outdoor shower assembled is coupled to an outdoor freezeless hydrant providing hot and cold water.
MITIGATING ICE BUILD UP IN A FLUID HANDLING ASSEMBLY
A fluid handling assembly comprising a cavity in which water may become trapped due to use of the assembly, and a membrane disposed in the cavity. The membrane divides the cavity into a first sub-cavity on a first side of the membrane that is configured to collect any water trapped in the cavity and a second sub-cavity on a second, opposite side of the membrane. The membrane is configured to change shape such that the first sub-cavity increases in volume and the second sub-cavity decreases in volume in response to being subjected to water freezing conditions. The increase in volume accommodates an increase in volume of any water that may be trapped in the first sub-cavity when it freezes to ice.
WATER CIRCUIT PURGING SYSTEM
A water circuit purging system for purging water from a water circuit, comprising: a water discharge line; a flow directing device coupling a main water line to a water source and to the water discharge line, and movable between an operative configuration in which the main water line is in fluid communication with the water source, and a discharge configuration in which the main water line is in fluid communication with the water discharge line; a pump for pumping water from the water discharge line when the flow directing device is in the discharge configuration; a condition sensor for sensing a condition of the main water line; and a controller for receiving an indication of the sensed condition and to move the flow directing device from the operative configuration to the discharge configuration upon determination that the main water line is in a predetermined condition based on the sensed condition.
Frost protection apparatus for water supply apparatus in recreational vehicles
Specified is a water supply apparatus, a mixing apparatus (1) being provided for mixing, in a mixing container (3), water conveyed in the mixing apparatus (1). Arranged relative to the mixing container (3) is a base apparatus (2) which has a base chamber (9) that is hydraulically connected to a water pipe (11, 12, 13) of the water supply apparatus and has an opening to the surroundings. A sealing device (10) is installed in the base chamber (9) for the purpose of closing off the opening of the base chamber (9) from the surroundings. The sealing device (10) has a weak point wall region (17) whose pressure strength is lower than the pressure strength of wall regions of all the other components of the water supply apparatus which, in the operating state, enclose cavities that can be filled with water, and which separate these cavities that can be filled with water from the surroundings.

DEVICE TO PROTECT WATER PIPE FROM WATER HAMMERING AND FROZEN WATER EXPANSION
A device designed to relieve expanded volume, flow and pressure within a water pipe system by utilizing a pair of spring loaded pistons within a valve body, such that the increases volume caused by various sources can be accommodated within the valve body by the spring loaded pistons. The device allows normal flowing under regular operating parameters and will perform its function automatically as the flow and pressure increases beyond the spring setting. The device will reset to its starting configuration after the operating parameters return to normal without external monitoring or input.

Frozen pipe alert
A method for determining whether water contained within a water pipe system in a building is at risk of freezing is disclosed. The method is carried out by a detector device comprising a processor. The method comprises determining a plurality of pipe temperature measurements using a temperature sensor. The processor analyses the pipe temperature measurements to detect whether a water draw has occurred. An exterior building environment temperature is compared to a predetermined freeze alert threshold. If the processor detects that (i) a water draw has not occurred; and (ii) the indicative temperature of the exterior building environment is lower than the predetermined freeze alert threshold, an alert is transmitted.
