Trench drain providing variable drain location and installation

A trench drain apparatus includes a trench body and an insert that can be assembled to the trench body to adjustably locate a trench drain hole in the insert relative to a footprint of the trench body. This allows adjustment of the trench drain hole at the installation site, yet takes advantage of pre-manufactured components. An upper surface of the trench body may receive an optional waterproof membrane clamped onto the sealing surface by a clamp ring. The insert can be rotated 180 degrees prior to installation to provide two different drain hole locations, or can be cut on site at one or both ends so that the drain hole ends up at desired location optimally matching a pre-existing drainage pipe opening. Methods related to the above are also provided, including adjusting the insert to locate the trench drain hole at an optimal location.

Trench drain connection interface

A trench drain connection interface for connecting a first trench drain to a second trench drain. The trench drain connection interface comprises a male end, a female end, and at least one protrusion. The male end of the first trench drain has a flange. The female end of the second trench drain has a flange-receiving recess. The at least one protrusion is on at least one of the male end and the female end. The male end of the first trench drain is configured to engage the female end of the second trench drain and when the male end engages the female end, the at least one protrusion prevents at least a portion of the flange from contacting an inner surface of the flange-receiving recess, thereby providing clearance between the flange and the inner surface of the flange-receiving recess.

Trench drain

A trench drain defining a channel and having an accessory rib allowing the convenient attachment of accessories to the sides of a drain in order to facilitate the installation of a trench drain, place drain outlets at any convenient places along the trench drain, and to create right angle joints between two trench drains.

Semi-round drain body and linear drain system including the same

A semi-round drain body includes an upper surface and a drain hole extending through the upper surface. The upper surface includes a first straight edge, a second straight edge disposed opposite to the first straight edge, a first curved edge, and a second curved edge disposed opposite to the first curved edge. The drain hole is disposed between the first and second straight edges and between the first and second curved edges. The first curved edge connects a first end of the first straight edge and a first end of the second straight edge to each other, and the second curved edge connects a second end of the first straight edge and a second end of the second straight edge to each other.

TILE FLOOR DRAIN

A tile drain and method of installing a tile drain is provided. The tile drain includes a drain body and a drain cover. The drain body defines a top opening, top weep apertures, and bottom weep apertures. The top opening receives the drain cover and serves as the primary drain for the tile drain. The top weep apertures are positioned below a top layer, such as a tile layer, of the base so as to receive fluid positioned between the top layer and a top waterproofing layer of the base. The sub weep apertures are positioned below the top waterproofing layer of the base so as to receive fluid positioned between the top waterproofing layer and a bottom waterproofing layer of the base. The drain body is encapsulated within the base, but the drain cover is adjustable relative to, and removable from, the drain body.

CHANNEL DRAIN

A channel drain for use in a fabricated surface having an exposed appearance. The channel drain includes a first body having a plurality of support surfaces, with each support surface extending from a respective body sidewall in spaced relation to a body lower wall. A plurality of inserts are insertable into the first body. Each insert includes an insert cavity sized and structured to receive a selected material having an appearance substantially identical to the exposed appearance of the fabricated surface. Each insert is supported by certain ones of the plurality of support surfaces when inserted into the first body and is sized and structured to define a gap between the pair of body sidewalls when inserted into the first body, with the gap allowing for fluid to flow therethrough toward the body lower wall.

A point drain is described that incorporates one or more novel features in various embodiments thereof. In at least one embodiment, the drain comprises three primary components that are typically provided in a preassembled configuration: a drain body, which includes an integral upper flange; a lower clamping collar that forms a lower flange; and a waterproof membrane that is fixedly sandwiched between the upper and lower flanges and extends outwardly therefrom. The drain is further characterized through the use of a plurality of fins that extend into the cylindrical interior of the drain body's throat and act to position and hold a drain cover assembly in place replacing the use of threads that are common in the prior art.

End wall for a gutter for surface drainage

In order to seal gutters at the ends with low output, an end wall (10) of a gutter (30) is provided for surface drainage, comprising a plate element (11) which can be secured at a first or a second end of the gutter (30) substantially sealingly closing a cross-section of the gutter (30). In addition, the ends (31, 32) of the gutter (30) are formed differently. According to the invention, in order to reduce the output, the plate element (11) can be secured at the first end (31) of the gutter (30) with a first edge (12) oriented upwards or can be secured at the second end (32) with a second edge (13) oriented upwards. In this way, an adjustment can be made to both differently formed ends (31, 32) of the gutter (30) by simply rotating the plate element.

Threshold drain system and method

A method of forming a threshold drain 31 is disclosed. The drain 31 extends alongside an exterior wall 4 of a building and is formed in an exterior surface 36. The building has an interior floor 21 with the exterior surface 36 and the interior floor 21 being substantially flush to permit traymobile, wheelchair and invalid access. In a single concrete pour, the drain gutter 31, exterior surface 36, interior floor 21 and a gutter 40 are all formed. The gutter has an exterior side wall 39 which supports a plurality of triangular cantilever arms 43. A support frame 42 having two longitudinally extending rims 51,52 is supported by the arms 43 and releasably receives a grate 32 between the rims 51, 52. The inner rim 51 is spaced from the wall 24 of the building, preferably by 10-12 mm (- inch), so as to provide a barrier to moisture in accordance with the Building Code of New Zealand standard set out in Clause E2 External Moisture. The drain 31 is also disclosed.
