The invention pertains to an odor trap, which comprises a first drainage channel situated between an inlet and an outlet, comprising, viewed in the flow direction, a first closing wall for the closing off of an uppermost part of the drainage channel and a second closing wall for the closing off of a lowermost part of the first drainage channel. The first and second closing walls, viewed in a horizontal direction, overlap. The odor trap comprises an elongated main body. The inlet substantially extends over the length of a first planar surface of the main body, which first planar surface is determined by the first closing wall. The second closing wall is situated in the main body. The outlet is situated in a second planar surface, situated opposite the first planar surface. The invention also pertains to a drain body and a drain assembly.

A multi-layer water sealing device, includes at least two layers of water seal sequentially arranged from top to bottom. An upper-layer water seal has a floating bell-shaped cover structure, and the floating bell-shaped cover structure includes a water sealing box and a floating bell-shaped cover arranged in the water sealing box. A lower-layer water seal is arranged in a drain pipe below the floating bell-shaped cover, and one side of the water sealing box is extended to form or connected to a communication cavity offset from the drain pipe. The floating bell-shaped cover correspondingly is extended to form or connected to a floating component floatable in the communication cavity and offset from the drain pipe.

An in-drain sealing apparatus for being positioned in a drain pipe with an interior surface where the positioning is below a surface mounted grate in a room area. The drain sealing apparatus includes a connector ring defined by a center axis, a lower edge and a peripheral surface, the connector ring positioned in the drain pipe below the grate with a first cylindrical space defined between the drain pipe interior surface and the connector ring peripheral surface. A sealing member is positioned in the first space for sealing the first cylindrical space between the peripheral surface of the connector ring and interior surface of the drain pipe for preventing access from the drain pipe to the room area through the region between the connector ring and the drain pipe. A normally close sealing device is coupled to the connector ring whereby liquid flowing through the grate area into the drain will cause the normally closed sealing device to open allowing the liquid into the drain pipe and then return to its normally closed position when liquid ceases to flow through into the grate.

Next, the method comprises connecting the plumbing trap and the removable drain pipe and sliding the sleeve over the removable drain pipe. Next, the method comprises building a flooring surface proximate to the plumbing trap, the removable drain pipe, and the sleeve. Then, the method comprises removing the removable drain pipe at least partly from the sleeve, cutting the removable drain pipe to the desired length, and re-inserting the removable drain pipe through the sleeve and into the plumbing trap.
