Module and method for managing water and other fluids
A method for managing the flow of water beneath a ground surface uses modules. Assemblies of such modules are disclosed. The modules include supports and a deck portion, and the supports are spaced apart and form multiple channels with a main section of the deck portion. The deck portion also includes at least one section extending from a main section.
Buoyant mechanical liquid level control
A liquid level control system, which may be used with a clarifier in a sewage treatment plant, manages liquid level of an upstream basin by controlling liquid flow in or out of a system that may use a midstream device to equally distribute flow in or out of the basin. This headloss inducing device creates a non-linear relationship between upstream liquid level to be controlled and the lesser downstream liquid level behind the gate or valve. Without the use of electrical controls, the systems of the invention include a gate or valve with counterforces that manage the outflow stream of liquid while accounting for the non-linear head loss created by the midstream device, thus reaching a desired liquid level range for all system flowrates.
Structure for operating watertight door by buoyancy
Provided is a structure for operating a watertight door by use of buoyancy. The structure includes: a detention tank for storing rainwater flowing from a street inlet; a buoyant member which is installed in the detention tank; and a sensor installed in the detention tank, in which if the buoyant member raised by the buoyant of the rainwater collected in the detention tank comes into contact with the sensor, the watertight door is automatically operated. The watertight door structure manually operated at localized heavy rain is improved, and the watertight door is automatically operated if the water level reaches the predetermined level.
MODULE FOR DRAINAGE AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY
The invention provides a modular unit or module (20) for use in an underground water management system. The modular unit or module (20) comprises a prism structure being a polyhedron enclosing a pair of internal members (6, 6′). The internal members (6, 6′) comprise a first member (6) comprising a first arch (9), and a second member (6′) comprising a second arch (9′) located at an angle to and being arranged inverted with respect to the first arch (9). The invention also provides a modular system (100) for use in underground water management, the modular system (100) comprising a plurality of the modules or modular units (20, 20′).
Method and Apparatus for Controlling Hazardous Materials Disposed Within a Storm Water Control System
A method and apparatus for preventing the escape of hazardous materials from fluid flow control systems of the character used by municipalities for carrying runoff storm water away from streets and populated areas.
Trash collecting underground stormwater management system
An underground stormwater management system comprising a sediment settling chamber, a plurality of stormwater management cells, and a trash capturing net. The sediment settling chamber has a sediment settling chamber floor and a discharge port located at a higher elevation than the sediment settling chamber floor. The plurality of stormwater management cells are located adjacent each other, and each cell comprises a body portion and an internal region, and is adapted to permit passage of stormwater into and out of the internal region of such cell. The plurality of stormwater management cells combine to form a stormwater management chamber downstream of the sediment settling chamber and in fluid communication with the sediment settling chamber. The trash capturing net is at least partially located within the stormwater management chamber and is adapted and configured to capture trash and debris in stormwater discharged from the discharge port.

Systems and methods for stormwater detention
Systems and methods for stormwater detention. An outer wall comprising L-wall members arranged side by side, each comprising a vertical stem having a height h and a width w, and a base of width w connected to the stem and extending outward therefrom at a horizontal angle. At least a first portion of the L-wall member stems having a pocket extending a distance d from a top surface of the stem towards the base, where d<h. The pockets may be positioned midway of the stem width. At least a second portion of the L-wall member stems devoid of a pocket. Optionally, support walls also having a pocket. A roof of double-T roof members each having a span, a flange, and two webs, the webs having first and second ends engaged with one of the pockets of the stems of the L-wall members.
Sewage pit
The invention relates to a sewage pit (1, 60) for receiving and discharging waste material, particularly domestic, medical and/or industrial waste comprising liquid and solid constituents, to the sewer (52), the sewage pit comprising: —a housing (2, 3, 4) with a closable receiving space (9), wherein one or more of the walls of the housing is provided with at least one inlet (19) configured to carry the waste material into the receiving space, a flushing liquid feed (10) which is embodied to feed flushing liquid to the receiving space for bringing the waste material into suspension, and at least one outlet (29) which can be connected to the sewer and is configured to discharge the mixture of waste material and flushing liquid from the receiving space and to the sewer, —at least one pump (25, 26) connectable or connected to the one or more outlets which is configured to pump the mixture which has been brought into suspension from the receiving space and to discharge the mixture via the one or more outlets.
INLINE BIOREMEDIATION LIQUID TREATMENT SYSTEM
A liquid treatment system is provided having a vault that contains a treatment chamber and an outflow chamber. The treatment chamber may have a filtration media layer containing media that treats liquid as it descends through the filtration media layer, where it will accumulate in a porous layer or open space. The liquid will then be directed through the plurality of pipes to the outflow chamber, where the treated liquid is further directed to outside the system. Accumulated debris settled at the bottom of the treatment chamber may be flushed out by a spray bar.
