Provided is a ball check valve apparatus including: a first body into which wastewater is introduced; a second body coupled to the first body to be communicated with the first body and configured to discharge the wastewater introduced into the first body; and a valve member disposed in the first body such that the valve member is movable up and down in the first body and configured to close an opening/closing hole formed in the first body by a self-weight thereof and open the opening/closing hole by a pressure of wastewater introduced through the opening/closing hole.

Check valve floor drain
09790678 · 2017-10-17 ·

A system and method for inserting removable drain valve within an inlet opening of a drain basin and then sealing the drain valve within the drain basin. The removable drain valve has a cylindrical housing with a check valve disposed with an outlet of the drain basin to allow drain water to flow out from the outlet of the drain basin while blocking flow from the outlet of the drain basin to the inlet of the drain basin. A cylindrical expander band having first and second ends spaced from each other is disposed about the cylindrical housing. A cylindrical gasket is mounted about the cylindrical housing and the cylindrical expander band. A paddle lock lever is pivotally mounted within the cylindrical housing. The paddle lock lever has an expander head to expand the cylindrical expander band and cause the cylindrical gasket to expand and seal against the drain basin.

A check cover assembly for a backflow prevention (BFP) assembly including a dome-shaped base with an upstanding shroud, wherein the shroud forms an inner area configured to receive a test cock to support and protect the test cock. The shroud forms a gap for accessing the test cock to selectively open and close the test cock while installed in the inner area. The base forms a passageway from the inner area into the BFP assembly configured so that when the test cock is open, a pressure reading of a pressure zone in the BFP assembly can be taken via the test cock. A retention fork is in a slit formed in the shroud so that the test cock is captured in the inner area but the test cock can be removed from and inserted into the inner area without rotation when the retention fork is removed from the slit.

Fluid backflow management system and method of use thereof

An apparatus for continuously controlling fluid flow in a sewer conduit, comprising: a) moisture sensors detecting levels of fluid in this conduit; b) an inflatable bladder, mounted in the sewer conduit for releasably sealing in fluid tight fashion a section of this conduit; a compressed air source for inflating the bladder; and a control box including a CPU sensitive to the moisture sensor(s) and actuating the air compressor responsively to conduit fluid level conditions reaching beyond a preset threshold value. The performance of the apparatus is independent of the speed of fluid flow in the sewer conduit.

The present invention provides an in-line valve particularly suitable for draining facilities to avoid odour penetrating habitable spaces or backflush of drainage liquids. The in-line valve comprises a body, preferably made of two engageable parts, an inset and a duckbill valve. The insert is located within the valve body and surrounding the duckbill valve. The insert funnels liquid from the valve inlet to the valve outlet, so that puddling in the valve body is avoided and therefore no water is accumulated, which could lead to odours or microorganisms proliferation.

Check valve

A check valve has an inlet end, a transition part and an outlet end, with a pair of vertically orientated lips. The transition part is twisted about the axis extending from the inlet to the outlet. As fluid passes through the check valve, the twisted portion of the check valve will impart a swirling motion to the fluid as the fluids leaves the check valve via the outlet end.

An inflatable system is described herein, including a body, a top, a bottom, an interior cavity, and a fluid inlet. In one aspect of the present teaching, the top and the bottom are on opposite sides of the body, approximately parallel to one another. The stem opening is located on the top of the body, wherein the stem opening allows the entry of fluid into the interior cavity of the body. The inflatable system is made of a material which allows for stretching when the inflatable system is inflated.
