Sewage backflow preventing valve
A sewage backflow prevention device is installed in a gravity flow waste pipe, particularly for a residence or residences. The device includes a cylindrical body with a closed top, outflow holes in the sides, and an open bottom to be secured to the upper end of a Tee in the gravity flow sewage pipe, between the residence and the sewer. Within the cylindrical body is a hollow, floatable disk or float ball that normally closes the bottom of the backflow device preventing escape of gases. When a downstream blockage occurs, liquid rises into the device, floats the closure disk or ball upward and flows outwardly through the openings. At valve closure position the valve closure disc or ball is mostly below the outflow holes such that rats or other rodents cannot push under and lift the ball or disc.
Backflow prevention assembly having a cartridge with dual zone testing
A backflow prevention assembly includes a body forming two buckets, wherein flow passes through the body from an inlet to an outlet along an axis and consecutively through each of the buckets. A single zone test cover encloses a first of the buckets to form a single zone chamber. A dual zone test cover encloses a second of the buckets with a dual zone cartridge assembly therein. The dual zone test cover has two test cocks. The dual zone cartridge assembly includes a frame having a valve seat, wherein the frame includes a lumen providing fluid communication from a dual zone chamber upstream of the valve seat to a first of the two test cocks of the dual zone test cover, and wherein the second of the two test cocks of the dual zone test cover is in fluid communication with the dual zone chamber downstream of the valve seat.

CHECK VALVE CARTRIDGE WITH FLOW GUIDE FOR COMPACT BACKFLOW PREVENTION ASSEMBLY
A valve assembly having a body forming a bucket having a sidewall extending between an open end and a closed end along a bucket axis. A first conduit and a second conduit extend from the sidewall, wherein the first and the second conduits extend along a conduit axis that is perpendicular to the bucket axis. A frame inserts into the bucket along the bucket axis and includes a valve seat and a valve member biased against the valve seat. A guide is provided in the bucket between the closed end and the frame and extends along a guide axis between a first opening arranged in a first plane and aligned to receive fluid flow from the first conduit and a second opening arranged in a second plane and aligned to direct fluid flow through the valve seat. The first and second planes are not parallel to one another.

BACKFLOW PREVENTION ASSEMBLY WITH TELESCOPING BIAS ASSEMBLY AND REVERSIBLE VALVE MEMBER
A valve assembly with a spring retention assembly including an elongated cylinder portion having an open threaded end and a closed end and an elongated piston portion having a free end and a threaded tab end configured to thread through the open threaded end and, thereby, be slideably captured in the cylinder portion. A spring couples to the body portion and the piston portion to provide a force to urge the body portion and the piston away from one another, wherein the closed end and the free end are similarly shaped so that the spring retention assembly can be reversibly mounted to a valve member that can also be reversibly mounted.
BACKWATER FLOW DETECTION DEVICE
A backwater flow detection device for detecting backwater flow between a building and a sewer conduit using air pressure detection in air pockets in the sewer conduit. The backwater flood detection device detects backwater flow events including backflow events from a sewer line as well as wastewater blockage events that can result in wastewater backflow into a building. The water detection sensor allows the homeowner or building manager to be warned when there is an issue with backwater flow in or near the building, and also with the backwater valve.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR VALVE CARTRIDGE EXTRACTION
An apparatus and method for valve cartridge extraction from a valve assembly, wherein the assembly includes a valve member body, a cartridge, and a valve cartridge extraction (VCE) tool comprising at least one pin disposed on the upper surface of the VCE tool. During cartridge removal, the VCE tool is uncoupled from the valve member body and is coupled to the cartridge with the at least one pin. The cartridge is rotated with the coupled VCE tool to assist in cartridge removal. The valve assembly may also include a hood covering the VCE tool.

VACUUM SEWAGE SYSTEM WITH MONITORING SYSTEM AND VARIABLE SPEED PUMP AND METHODS OF USE
A vacuum sewage system includes a collection station, a variable speed vacuum pump, a variable speed drive, a control system, a sewage pump, a collection tank, a valve pit, a first conduit extending from the collection station to the valve pit, a second conduit extending from the valve pit and terminating in a closed end, a sensor located adjacent the closed end of the second conduit, and a valve located in the valve pit for selectively permitting sewage and waste water to flow from the valve pit toward the collection station upon activation of the valve. The control system, variable speed drive and sensor may be utilized to adjust the vacuum level and vacuum level range at the collection station so as to reduce the speed and operation time of the variable speed vacuum pump while maintaining the desired vacuum level in the vacuum sewage system.
